The present invention is an audio device, which is easy to be damaged in case of transient over current due to surge voltage generated when the power switch is turned on or off or over current due to the amplifier or overload due to speaker short circuit. It relates to an amplifier protection circuit for protecting the output stage.
Conventionally, when an unexpected overcurrent flows to the output side due to a short circuit of a muting circuit and a speaker to prevent a transient phenomenon generated when the power switch is turned on or off, that is, an abnormal current caused by an instantaneous voltage fluctuation, the transistor of the output terminal is turned off. Many circuits have been proposed for the purpose of protection, but most of them are a means to cut off the output of the main amplifier by overloading the muting circuit to the tone amplifier and the main amplifier. However, due to the added muting circuit, the voice signal is weak, and thus, it is impossible to provide an efficient circuit as the muting circuit.
The present invention solves the shortcomings of the muting operation so that the speaker of the amplifier is protected from rational current in case of transient phenomenon, and the circuit can operate stably by cutting off the power current supplied to the amplifier even in the event of speaker short circuit. The circuit is devised and described in detail as follows.
That is, in the structure of the present invention, the zener diodes D 1 and D 6 are connected to the power supply terminal from the bridge rectifier circuit BR, but the time constant circuit B and the diode D 4 are connected to the zener diode. D 5 ) to the base of the power drive transistor T 2 , and its collector side to the base of the amplifier driving transistors T 3 and T 4 , while its output side is connected to the differential amplifier and drive transistor. (T 5 , T 8 ), main amplifier transistors (T 6 , T 9 ), left and right amplifiers (LA, RA) consisting of the amplifier (A) is connected, the signal input terminal of the amplifier (A) a runner (T) ) And the voice control unit (TC) through the phono circuit (P), and the left and right speakers (SL, SR) to the output terminal. In addition, the collector side of the drive transistors T 5 and T 8 is drawn out and connected to the bases of the switching transistors T 7 and T 10 which are driven when the amplifier unit A is overcurrent, and the collector side thereof is connected to the power supply. This is connected to the base of the switching transistor T 1 connected between the low potential terminal and the time constant circuit B.
Reference numeral R 2 -R 6 is a bias step-down resistor, D 2 is a rectifier diode, and B 1 + , B 2 + is an added code to explain.
As the operation state of the present invention configured as described above, when the muting operation for noise removal generated when the power switch is turned on and off, when AC power is applied, DC power is supplied to the circuit from the rectifying unit BR. When the output potential of the stage is B 1 + and the potential of the zener diode D 1 is set to B 2 + , the power supply B 1 + maintains a constant voltage (+12 V) with the zener diode D 6 . The power supply B 2 + supplied to the collector of the transistor T 2 and held by the zener diode D 1 is delayed by the resistor R 1 and the capacitor C 1 , and thus the zener diode D 4 . a diode (D 5) and is to the operating transistor (T 2) of the base and the emitter voltage (D 4 voltage + D 5 voltage + V bE) the moment the transistor is more than the charge on the capacitor (C 1) (T 2) Therefore, the potential of the collector drops to OV. At this time, the transistors T 3 and T 4 operate due to the voltage drop caused by the resistors R 2 and R 4 , and thus the voice signals passing through the voice controller TC are normally left. It is transmitted to the speaker (SL, SR) as the load through the right amplifier (LA, RA), and the operation (R 1 ) and the capacitor (C 1 ) delays the operation for a certain time, so the power switch is turned on or off. The ideal current generated at the time can be cut off at the input of the amplifier.
And, since the amplifier is halttaeneun a normal operation power is rectified by a diode (D 7) supplied to the base of the transistor (T 1) transistor (T 1) that is in the OFF state.
On the other hand, if due to a short circuit of a speaker, an overcurrent flows to the output terminal, dropped by the over-current transistor (T 7, T 10) is operated to raise the base potential of the transistor (T 1), so that have been off during the normal state The transistor T 1 is turned on so that the power current flowing through the amplifier flows to the ground through the transistor T 1 . Therefore, even if an overcurrent flows to the output side due to a short circuit of the speaker, damage to the amplifier or the output transistor can be prevented.
The present invention has an advantageous feature to greatly improve the reliability of the device because the safety of the circuit can be ensured when the power switch is turned on or off or the speaker is shorted due to the operation characteristics as described above.
