본고안은 경사진 도로에서 재전진 할때 클러치 조작미숙에 의하여 자동차가 후진됨을 방지할수 있도록 프로펠라 샤프트에서 연결되어 회전되는 유니버셜 쪼인트의 슬리브 요오크에 래칫기어를 고정시키고 기어의 치차에 삽입되는 괘지편을 스프링으로 탄발되도록 한 괘지편의 일측에서 케이블관을 관통한 케이블선을 운전석에서 견인시켜 프로펠라 샤후트의 역회전이 방지되게하여 경사진 도로에서 재진행할 때 후진되지 않아 안전운행을 할수 있도록 한 자동차의 후진방지장치에 관한 것이다. 종래에는 경사진 도로에서 재전진할 때 클러치 조작미숙에 의하여 자동차가 후진 본의 아니게 접촉사고를 발생하게 되는데 이것을 최대한 방지할수 있는 것을 클러치와 브레이크 페달을 동시어 밟으면서 핸드 브레이크를 당겨주는 순서를 지키지않고 핸드브레이크를 당겨준 상태에서 주행을 하게 되면 브레이크 라이닝이 타는 경우가 있고 또 클러치를 놓으면서 악세레다를 밟는 동시에 핸드 브레이크를 서서히 동작시키는 3개 동작이 동시에 이루어져야 하는 결점이 있어 이것 또한 위험 부담이 많았으며 공고번호 80-2300호에서도 정차 후 출발시에 일어나던 일시적인 후진현상을 극소화시킬 뿐이지 본원에서와 같은 효과를 얻지 못하며 구고가 복잡하여 고장발생빈도가 갖은 우려가 많았다.This paper secures the ratchet gear to the sleeve yoke of the universal quint, which is connected and rotated on the propeller shaft to prevent the vehicle from reversing due to inadequate clutch operation when re-forwarding on a sloping road.
