종래 이러한 은폐형 슬라이드 파스너의 경편조 스트링거 테이프는 일면에는 종방향으로 웨일(wale)과 이들 사이의 요구(凹溝)가 지나도록 되어있고 반대면은 평탄하게 되어있어서, 테이프의 단연부(端緣部)를 따라파스너 요소를 테이프의 평탄면에 봉착하였다. 이러한 은폐형 슬라이드 파스너를 의류와 같은 피착물에 부착하려고 할 때는, 파스너 요소를 취부한 테이프 단연부를 L―자 모양으로 절곡하여 기립시키고, 테이프 평탄면과 피착물을 중합시킨 다음, 제3도에 도시된 바와같이 파스너 요소에 인접한 웨일사이의 요구(凹溝)내로 봉사가 지나가도록 봉착한다. 그러나 테이프의 단연부가 이 부분에서 ㄴ―자 모양으로 절곡되어 있으므로 봉사가 지나는 요구 양측의 웨일이 서로 향하게되어 요구가 좁아진다. 따라서 파스너 봉침이 인접한 웨일에 접촉하여 변형을 하거나 파손되는 일이 많고, 봉착위치가 정확하게 되지 않는다.Conventionally, such a braided slide fastener's warp braided stringer tape has a wale in the longitudinal direction and a demand therebetween, and the opposite side is flat, so that the edge of the tape is flat.
