Description

비강용 검체 채취장치{Nasal sample collection device}Nasal sample collection device}

The present invention relates to a sampling device for the nasal cavity, and more particularly, to a sampling device for the nasal cavity that injects a sample collection material into the nasal cavity and collects the sample collection material and the sample by using negative pressure after spraying.

Respiratory system is a general term for organs related to respiration that perform gas exchange. Specifically, it refers to the nasal cavity, pharynx (belonging to the digestive system), larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs, etc. The skin is also breathing, but generally not put in the middle of the respiratory system.

Recently, novel swine-origin influenza, H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza, and new or variant respiratory infectious diseases with high transmissibility or pathogenicity, such as COVID-19, have been developed. disease) is rapidly emerging as a major issue threatening human health and economy as its occurrence frequency increases.

In particular, unlike in the past, population movement between regions and countries is rapidly occurring worldwide due to the development of transportation and changes in lifestyle in modern times, so when respiratory infectious diseases such as influenza occur, The possibility of explosive spread is increasing.

In the case of the recent outbreak of COVID-19 (COVID-19), respiratory infections mainly live in the nasopharynx in the nasal cavity, so a nasopharyngeal test is performed instead of a nasal cavity test, and a sample is taken from the nasopharynx using a cotton swab.

On the other hand, although a home test kit has been developed, it is difficult for ordinary people to accurately insert the nasopharynx, and the sample is taken from the nasal cavity, so the accuracy of the test is significantly reduced.

Not only at home test kits, but also in hospitals, the positive status of COVID-19 depends on the skill of medical staff, so if the swab cannot access the nasopharynx due to inexperience of medical staff, mistakes by medical staff, or lack of caution, patients with infectious viral diseases There is also a problem that is reported as negative in the PCR test.
