본 발명은 운전자의 주변시야각 내에 위치한 차량 측후방 디스플레이에 관한 기술이다.The present invention relates to a vehicle side and rear display positioned within a driver's peripheral viewing angle.
물체를 볼 때, 시선방향에 있는 것은 가장 뚜렷하게 보이고, 주변에 있는 것이라도 불완전하지만 상(像)의 존재를 알 수가 있다. 전자를 중심시야, 후자를 주변시야라고 한다. 시야의 범위는 시선의 각도로 나타내며 정상단안시야(正常單眼視野)는 상방 약 60°, 내방 약 60°, 하방 약 70°, 외방 약 100°이다. 좌우의 단안시야의 합작을 양안시야라고 한다. 눈만을 움직여서 보는 범위를 주시야(注視野)라고 하며, 단안시에서는 각 방향 약 50°, 양안시에는 약 44°이다. 운전을 함에 있어서 운전자 시야의 확보는 생명과 직결되는 중요한 요소이다. 인간의 안구는 상하 좌우로 근육에 의해 초점을 변경할 수 있으며 이로인해 시야각이 형성된다. 운전자 주행중의 시야는 보통 도로 정면을 응시한다. 그러나 차량의 사각지대 또는 기타 보조장치(에어콘, 라디오)등을 컨트롤 하게 되면 순간적으로 도로에서 시야가 벗어나게 된다. 또한, 차선변경, 대로진입 등을 하기 위해서는 측 후방을 필수적으로 확인하는데 이 경우에도 운전자의 시야는 해당 작업을 수행하는 동안에는 정면을 응시하지 못하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 정면을 지속적으로 응시하면서 주행하는 동안에도 주변시야 내에서 동시에 실시간으로 측방, 후방 등의 시야를 확보할 수 있도록 좌측후방, 정후방, 우측후방에 위치한 적어도 3개의 영상장치를 통해 시각정보를 입력받은 다음 정면시야 범위 내에 위치한 적어도 3구간으로 나눠진 디스플레이를 통해 차량 측후방 및 후방의 정보를 운전자가 알 수 있게끔 하는 본 발명을 실시하게 되었다.
