Abstract

The present invention relates to an improved venipuncture needle and dilator used for central venous catheterization using ultrasound. More specifically, when puncturing blood vessels using ultrasound, the tip of a puncture needle is composed of a short bevel to minimize tissue damage. Treatment is performed so that a venipuncture needle is clearly visible on ultrasound. A scale is displayed on the outer surface of the needle to determine the insertion depth of the puncture needle from a patient's skin.
