Abstract

The present invention relates to a walking assistance system for the elderly and an operation method thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to the walking assistance system for the elderly operating at a set speed when the walking speed of the elderly person is set and an operation button is turned on, stopping a walking assistance device when a user wears a bracelet and then the user is separated from the walking assistance device by a predetermined distance, and notifying a guardian terminal that the user is repeatedly located within a set radius or out of a set region of an action range.
