Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a composition for an antifouling paint. More specifically, the present invention provides a composition for pro-environmental, and include natural substances, vegetable algae and / or inhibiting the growth of such animal larvae and an antifouling coating that can exhibit a bactericidal action, cuprous oxide-free (Cu 2 O free) .
In the bottom of ship (bottom of the ship) corrosion of sea hulls due to adherence of marine organisms such as shellfish and seaweeds is caused and deceleration of line speed is caused, so fuel efficiency is increased and engine life is shortened by engine load. In order to prevent such problems, various kinds of antifouling paints are being developed.
The tin-containing hydrolysis-type paint, which has been used for a long time as an antifouling paint, was excellent in antifouling performance. However, on October 5, 2001, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) , And all vessels have been compulsory since 2008 to enforce the mandatory requirement to strip existing coatings (tin-containing coatings). Recently, a tin-free type paint containing no tin has been used as a mainstream in hydrolysis type antifouling paints with Cu, Zn, Si, etc. in the side chain of acrylic resin.
In the case of the hydrolyzable bottom coating, the amount of Cu, Zn, Si, etc. connected to the side chain of the acrylic resin is small, so that the anti-fouling performance is reinforced. However, May cause undesired chemical reactions, and the redox-containing paints can not exhibit colors other than red brown or brown.

Hereinafter, the composition for an antifouling paint of the present invention will be described in detail.
Crisocolor is a natural mineral of blue or greenish blue color and is represented by Cu 2 - x Al x (H 2 - x Si 2 O 5 ) (OH) 4 .nH 2 O (x <1). Although the specific mechanism of action of crysocol is not clear, it is possible to produce an antifouling effect by decomposing cells of marine organisms including vegetable algae and / or animal pests to inhibit adhesion and growth of marine organisms to adherends. Therefore, it is not necessary to use copper oxide and an organotin compound used in conventional antifouling paint compositions. Further, the crysocola includes a hydroxyl group (OH) bonded to a silicon (Si) component. Although the specific mechanism of action is not clear, the effect of water repellency is exerted by chlorosolvar, which can prevent the marine organism from adhering to the adherend.
Crisocola is a natural mineral of solid state and its shape is not particularly limited. For example, the klyso-cola may be in the form of beads, amorphous, plate-like, or the like. The average particle diameter (D50) of the crysocolor may be 10 mm to 40 mm. In the above range, it may be contained in the composition for an antifouling paint, and may be good in compatibility with volcanic ash, calcium hydroxide and the like.
Crisocolola may be contained in an amount of 10 to 30% by weight, preferably 10 to 20% by weight and 10 to 18% by weight in the composition for an antifouling paint. Within the above range, an antifouling effect can be sufficiently obtained, and occurrence of problems such as deposition due to excessive use can be suppressed.
Calcium hydroxide is a second - order processing of shellfish OH - group. When applied to seawater, it is ionized by water and generates Ca 2 + ion and OH - ion. Seawater is exposed by a variety of changing factors, but usually exhibits an average pH of 7 to pH 9 and remains constant within this range. Marine organisms are controlled for their metabolism to suit these marine environments, and if they deviate from these conditions, they may suffer from growth. The OH - ions generated by the ionization of calcium hydroxide can also make the seawater part basic, thereby also exhibiting the sterilizing function. In addition, OH - ions can be recycled to CaCO 3 by reacting with shellfish constituting calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ).
The calcium hydroxide may be contained in the composition for an antifouling paint in an amount of 5 to 15% by weight, preferably 10 to 15% by weight. In the above range, it is possible to sufficiently provide an antifouling effect and to prevent the handling of the composition from being difficult due to excessive use.
The volcanic ash is contained in the composition for an antifouling paint together with chrysocolla and calcium hydroxide, so that the antifouling paint composition can have an antifouling effect. In addition, ash can also produce a sterilizing effect. The inventors of the present invention confirmed that 1.0 g of ash was dissolved in 50 ml of a phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.2) and Escherichia coli was added. After 1 hour, the bacterial reduction rate reached 99.9%.
The ash can be contained in the composition for an antifouling paint in an amount of 5 to 30% by weight, preferably 7 to 15% by weight. In the above range, an antifouling effect can be sufficiently obtained, and the antifouling effect by the use of chrysocolla and calcium hydroxide may not be affected.
As described above, the composition for an antifouling paint of the present invention contains both of chloricolor, calcium hydroxide, and volcanic ash, and thus can provide an antifouling effect, and can further contribute to resource recycling by recirculation. In addition, the composition for an antifouling paint of the present invention is a composition for a free antifouling paint containing substantially no copper oxides (Cu 2 O) for imparting antifouling effect and is an organic tin compound (TBT, tri-butyl- tin) is an organotin compound free antifouling paint composition. Accordingly, toxicity to other marine organisms other than vegetable algae and / or animal pests in the marine environment can be minimized, and the composition can be used as a natural composition for environmentally friendly antifouling paints.
