Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a virtual reality content service, and more particularly, to a method and system for generating, holding / managing / providing, and reproducing virtual reality content.
Currently, virtual reality content creation is only available at the professional level. Because it requires high-performance computers and editing tools for image processing and graphics. Generating virtual reality contents for the general public is impossible.
In addition, there is little or very limited supply to virtual reality content. This makes the use of virtual reality contents more difficult for the general public.
Also, even if a virtual reality content exists, a viewer for reproducing it is also a high-performance computer specification, and even if there is a virtual reality content, it is useless to the general public.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in order to solve the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a method and system for providing a virtual reality contents service for generating, storing, managing, and providing virtual reality contents.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for providing a virtual reality contents service, the method comprising: generating a virtual reality content; Storing and providing the generated virtual reality contents; And reproducing the provided virtual reality contents.
The generating includes generating virtual reality contents using real photographs; And converting the 3D model data into virtual reality contents.
The generating may include generating metadata for the virtual reality content; And adding the metadata to the virtual reality content.
The providing step may include: storing the virtual reality contents; Providing metadata added to the virtual reality content as search data; And providing the virtual reality content.
In addition, the reproducing step may include: searching for a virtual reality content; Downloading a viewer for reproducing virtual reality contents; And rendering the virtual reality contents retrieved by the viewer.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a virtual reality contents service system, comprising: a generation unit for generating a virtual reality content; A providing unit for storing and providing the generated virtual reality contents; And a reproducing unit for reproducing the provided virtual reality contents.
As described above, according to the embodiments of the present invention, virtual reality contents can be generated and metadata for the virtual reality contents can be generated. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
1 is a diagram illustrating an execution screen for a virtual reality content. The virtual reality contents illustrated in FIG. 1 can be used for a virtual reality experience, a virtual reality display education training, and the like, as well as other purposes.
2 is a diagram illustrating a concept of a virtual reality contents service. The virtual reality contents service refers to a series of processes or portions of processes for generating a plurality of virtual reality contents, sharing / distributing the generated virtual reality contents, and reproducing the shared / distributed virtual reality contents.
As shown in FIG. 2, it is possible to create a virtual reality-based virtual reality content. This can be easily made using a mono camera, a multi-view camera or a 360-degree omnidirectional camera carried by ordinary users. It is also possible to generate virtual reality contents based on 3D model data.
In addition, metadata is generated for the virtual reality content, and the created metadata is added to the virtual reality content and packaged to complete the creation of the virtual reality content. The metadata includes not only unique information of the virtual reality contents themselves but also various information such as the producer, the production location, and the production time.
The metadata is referenced by other users sharing the virtual reality content and editing it by expanding it to its own virtual reality content.
The generated virtual reality contents and metadata are managed for sharing / distribution and provide a search environment. In addition, a virtual reality content is provided to a terminal requesting a virtual reality content.
The reproduction of the virtual reality contents is reproduced in various ways through various devices as shown in the lower part of FIG. In this process, the metadata added to the virtual reality content is analyzed to provide related information and interact with the user.

The virtual reality contents service system according to the embodiment of the present invention is for services for 360-degree image-based virtual reality contents, but may be extended to services for other types of virtual reality contents.

As shown in FIG. 4, in order to generate a virtual reality content, a virtual reality content is first generated using actual photographs obtained in various ways (S210). In addition, the virtual reality contents may be generated by converting the 3D model data (S220).

As shown in FIG. 6, in order to reproduce a virtual reality content, the user first searches for a desired virtual reality content using the query entered by the user (S410). Then, the retrieved virtual reality contents are requested and provided (S420).
If a viewer for reproducing virtual reality contents is not installed, the viewer is downloaded and installed (S430). Next, in step S430, the installed virtual reality content is rendered in step S420, in step S440.
After step S440, the virtual space is reconstructed according to the user's face, motion, gesture, etc. (S450).
