Abstract
Description
Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a method and system for updating electronic charts, and more particularly, to a system and method for generating partial update and partial tile maps using electronic chart update information.
Recently, domestic companies such as Daum, Naver, KTH, as well as Google (Google Map) and Bing Map (Overseas) have provided map service and OpenAPI on the web, and space information service is actively proceeding.
The existing web map service is based on TMS (TMS / Tile Map Service). TMS stores the static map image as a tile image at specific scale. Using a tile image map, it does not need to render the map dynamically, which has led to a speedup of the Web Geographic Information System (GIS).
OGC, a standardization organization for the spatial information industry, has adopted and announced the Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) standard that uses TMS following the existing WMS (Web Map Service), WFS (Web Feature Service) and WCS (Web Coverage Service).
On the other hand, the information on land and marine spatial information is not fixed but is periodically updated. On the other hand, the land area information of the land and marine space is wide, and the number of tiles to be generated thereby is increased. That is, it takes a long time to generate tiles, and a lot of storage space is required.
In particular, as the electronic chart is updated every two weeks, the update frequency is relatively high, and the entire area is very large compared to the update area. Thus, when tiling is performed in the entire area, It also becomes a culprit.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides a system and method for generating a tile map by partially tiling only an update area while supporting a partial update by reflecting the flow when an electronic chart is updated and distributed .
The objects of the present invention are not limited to the above-mentioned objects, and other objects not mentioned can be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the following description.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a partial update and partial tile map generation method using electronic chart update information. The method includes generating a tile map by tiling an update area of an electronic chart, Determining whether or not metadata exists, and if the metadata does not exist, performing tiling on all the regions selected based on a tiling environment setting according to a user input to generate metadata; Reading the meta data and extracting an update area to be a partial tiling target; And updating and storing the metadata after performing the tiling on the extracted update area. The extracting of the update area may include extracting the update information based on the update file or the object information included in the update file And extracting the update area based on the update area.
As described above, according to the present invention, since the meta information related to the electronic map update information is generated and utilized, only the area requiring tiling is extracted and the tiling is performed, so that the tiling cost (time) can be greatly reduced.

In the drawings, like reference numerals are used to denote like elements, and in the description of the present invention, In the following description, a detailed description of the present invention will be omitted.
Hereinafter, a description will be made of a Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) based on a Tile Map Service (TMS) before describing a partial update and partial tile map generation method using electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Electronic charts are first distributed with 301 files with an extension of * .000. As shown in Table 1 below, the number of files to be distributed will vary depending on the year. It is confirmed that 301 grid-based grid files for 2013 and 334 grid-grid files for 2011 are distributed.
As described below, the electronic chart is composed of KR1, KR2, KR3, KR4, KR5 and KR6 depending on the application For each application (level), the electronic chart is composed of a lattice, and one file of the grid contains the electronic chart of the corresponding area.
The file naming rules of the electronic chart are as follows.
KR X YYYYY . 000
- KR: Electronic Chart Production Country CODE (Republic of Korea KR)
- X: CODE No. for each navigation purpose of the electronic chart. (1 to 6)
- YYYYY: CELL CODE set by each country
- 000: electronic chart update number (first edition is 000, first edition 001)
Figs. 1A to 1E illustrate exemplary electronic charts corresponding to a grid file distributed for each use. For example, FIG. 1A shows the total number KR1, and one file name of a grid constituting the total figure is given as 'A0000', 'B0000', 'C0000',.
FIG. 1B shows a general diagram KR2. One file name of a grid constituting the general diagram is given as 'B4000', 'C3000', 'C4000',.
1C shows the coasting degree KR3, and the file name of one lattice constituting the coasting degree is given as 'C3F00', 'C3G00', and 'C3J00', respectively.
FIG. 1D shows the accessibility (KR4), and one file name of the grid constituting the access map is given as 'F2J20', 'F2J30', 'F2K10',.
FIG. 1E shows the port diagram KR5, and the file names of one grid constituting the port diagram are given as 'F2J23', 'F2J44', 'F2K14',.
As described above, the electronic charts are divided into a plurality of files for each class by dividing the class (level) according to the application, and each file includes geographical information for one grid constituting the electronic chart of the class. The electronic chart is composed of a grid in which the upper level region is divided into four or sixteen divisions as the grade is lowered, and the file names of the respective grids are assigned according to rules determined for each class, as described with reference to Figs. 1A to 1E.
On the other hand, when the electronic chart is updated, updated geographical information is collected and distributed every two weeks. The update area (in particular, the grid with the updated geographic information) increases by 1 in extension. For example, when the KR1A0000.000 area is updated, the updated geographical information is distributed as KR1A0000.001.
2 shows an example in which an electronic chart file is distributed. The geographical information in the KR4FG10 area indicated in yellow in FIG. 2 is distributed to files having the extension of 000, 001, 002, 003, 004, 005 as it is updated every time.
Hereinafter, a partial update and partial tile map generation system and method using electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6. FIG.

The update region extraction in step S600 may be performed based on the update file or based on the object information included in the update file. FIG. 5 illustrates a process of extracting an update area based on an update file according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 illustrates a process of extracting an update area based on object information included in the update file according to the second embodiment of the present invention And extracting the update area.
Hereinafter, a process of extracting an update area according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG.
First of update area extraction Example
Referring to FIG. 5, the
The metadata may include information on a layer list selected in the tiling, an electronic chart, a tiling coordinate system, a tiling area, a color table, a thimble type, and the like. The
For example, if the minimum rectangular area extracted from the file name is included in the selected layer list or tiling area included in the metadata, the file name is added to the list. At this time, if the upper level file of the file is already included in the list, the lower level file is omitted from the list because it is not necessary to add it (S330).
For example, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR2A1000', if the upper level file 'KR2A ****' is already added to the list, 'KR2A1000' is not added to the list and is omitted.
Also, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR3A1C00', 'KR3A1C00' is added to the list if the upper level file 'KR3A ****' or 'KR3A1 ***' And is omitted.
Likewise, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR4A1C10', if the upper level files 'KR4A ****', 'KR4A1 ***' or 'KR4A1C **' are already added to the list, 'KR4A1C10' is not added to the list and is omitted.
Finally, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR5A1C12', the upper level files 'KR5A ****', 'KR5A1 ***', 'KR5A1C **', or 'KR5A1C1 *' If already added, 'KR5A1C12' will be omitted instead of being added to the list.
2nd update area extraction Example
On the other hand, in the case of the first embodiment of the above-described update region extraction, the update region can be extracted at a high speed because the update region is extracted on a file-by-file basis. However, a problem may arise in which an unnecessary region is tiled. The second embodiment of extracting an update region to be described later is characterized in that a minimum rectangular region of an object included in the update file is used for extraction in an update region, thereby solving the problem of tiling to an unnecessary region.
Referring to FIG. 6, the
The metadata may include information on a layer list selected in the tiling, an electronic chart, a tiling coordinate system, a tiling area, a color table, a thimble type, and the like. The
The update file may include change information in which a new object is added, change information in which an original object is changed, change information in which an original object is deleted, and the like.
For example, if the update file includes the change information to which a new object is added, the object
On the other hand, when the update file includes change information that the original object is changed, the object
On the other hand, if the update file includes the change information in which the original object is deleted, the object
After that, the object
3, the
According to the present invention, since the meta information related to the electronic map update information is generated and utilized, only the area requiring tiling is extracted and the tiling is performed, so that the tiling cost (time) can be greatly reduced.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof. It is therefore to be understood that the above-described embodiments are illustrative in all aspects and not restrictive. The scope of the present invention is defined by the appended claims rather than the detailed description, and all changes or modifications derived from the scope of the claims and their equivalents should be construed as being included within the scope of the present invention.
