Description

Partial update and partial tile map generation system using electronic chart update information and method thereof {SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PARTIAL UPDATE AND PARTIAL TILE MAP GENERATION USING ELECTRONIC NAVIGATION CHART UPDATE INFORMATION}

The present invention relates to a method and system for updating an electronic chart, and more particularly, to a partial update and partial tile map generation system and method using electronic chart update information.

Recently, domestic companies such as Daum, Naver, and KTH as well as Google (Bing Map) and overseas companies have provided map service and OpenAPI on the web, and spatial information service is actively progressing.

The existing web map service is based on TMS (TMS / Tile Map Service), which stores the static map image as a tile image in a map area at a specific scale. Using tile image maps speeds up the Web Geographic Information System (GIS) because there is no need to dynamically map the map.

OGC, a standardization organization of the spatial information industry, has adopted and announced the WMTS (Web Map Tile Service) standard, which is based on the existing Web Map Service (WMS), WFS (Web Feature Service), and WCS (Web Coverage Service).

On the other hand, the national maritime and spatial information is not fixed but is periodically updated. On the other hand, the national terrestrial spatial information has a large target area, thereby increasing the number of tiles to be generated. That is, it takes a long time to generate a tile, and requires a lot of storage space.

In particular, as the electronic chart is updated every two weeks, the update frequency is relatively high, and the whole area is very wide compared to the updated area, so tiling the entire area takes a lot of time and causes a lot of load on the disk. It can also be the culprit.

The present invention provides a system and method for generating a tile map by partially tiling only an update area while supporting a partial update while updating and distributing an electronic chart in order to solve the above-described problems of the prior art. For the purpose of

The object of the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned object, and other objects that are not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the following description.

The partial update and partial tile map generation method using the electronic chart update information according to an aspect of the present invention for achieving the above object of the present invention is used to generate a tile map by tiling the update area of the electronic chart. Determining whether the metadata exists, and if the metadata does not exist, generating metadata by tiling all selected regions based on a tiling environment setting according to a user input; Reading the metadata and extracting an update area that is a partial tiling object; And tiling the extracted update area, and updating and storing the metadata, wherein extracting the update area is based on an update file or on object information included in the update file. And extracting the update area based on the extracted information.

According to the present invention as described above, since tiling is performed by generating and utilizing meta information related to the electronic chart update information and extracting only an area for tiling, the tiling cost (time) can be greatly reduced.

As used herein, “comprises” or “comprising” means the presence of one or more other components, steps, operations and / or elements other than the components, steps, operations and / or elements mentioned or Does not exclude additional

Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. First of all, in adding reference numerals to the elements of each drawing, the same elements are denoted by the same reference numerals as much as possible even though they are shown in other drawings, and in describing the present invention, If the description can obscure the subject matter of the present invention, the detailed description is omitted.

Hereinafter, a web map tile service (WMTS) based on a tile map service (TMS) will be described before describing a partial update and a partial tile map generation method using electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention.

The electronic chart is first distributed as 301 files with a * .000 extension. As shown in Table 1 below, the number of files to be distributed will vary depending on the year. It is confirmed that 301 grid files were distributed in 2013 and 334 as of 2011.

By use 2011 In 2013 KR1 22 21 KR2 18 13 KR3 68 60 KR4 103 84 KR5 123 123 Sum 334 301

As described below, the electronic chart consists of total view (KR1), general view (KR2), coastal view (KR3), approach map (KR4), harbor chart (KR5), and anchorage mooring chart (KR6), depending on the application, For each purpose (level), the electronic chart is formed in a grid shape, and one file includes the electronic chart of the corresponding area.

The file naming rules for the electronic chart are as follows.

KR  X YYYYY . 000

-KR: Country of electronic chart production CODE (Korea KR)

-X: Code No. by navigation purpose of electronic chart (1-6)

-YYYYY: CELL CODE set by each country

-000: Electronic chart update number (first edition is 000, first edition 001)

1A to 1E exemplarily illustrate an electronic chart corresponding to a grid file distributed for each use. For example, FIG. 1A shows the total view KR1, and the file names of one grid constituting the total view are given as 'A0000', 'B0000', 'C0000' ..., respectively.

FIG. 1B shows the general view KR2, and the file names of one grid constituting the general view are given as 'B4000', 'C3000', and 'C4000'.

FIG. 1C shows the coastal view KR3, and one file name of the grid constituting the coastal map is given as 'C3F00', 'C3G00', and 'C3J00'.

FIG. 1D shows the access level KR4, and one file name of the grid constituting the access degree is given as 'F2J20', 'F2J30' and 'F2K10'.

Fig. 1E shows the port diagram KR5, and one file name of the lattice constituting the port diagram is given as 'F2J23', 'F2J44', 'F2K14' ..., respectively.

As such, the electronic chart is divided into grades (levels) according to a purpose, and is composed of a plurality of files for each grade, and each file includes geographic information about one grid constituting the electronic chart of the corresponding grade. The electronic chart is composed of grids that are divided into 4 or 16 divisions of the upper level as the grade is lowered, and the file names of the grids are given according to the rules determined for each grade, as described with reference to FIGS. 1A to 1E.

On the other hand, when the electronic chart is updated, the updated geographical information is collected and distributed every two weeks. The update area (in particular, the grid with updated geographic information) increases by one. For example, if the KR1A0000.000 region is updated, the updated geographic information is distributed in the KR1A0000.001 file.

2 illustrates an example in which a file is distributed even if the electronic chart is used. Geographic information of the KR4FG10 region shown in yellow in FIG. 2 is distributed as a file having an extension of 000, 001, 002, 003, 004, and 005 as it is updated every time.

Hereinafter, a partial update and partial tile map generation system using the electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention and a method thereof will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6.

3 is a block diagram illustrating a configuration of a partial update and partial tile map generation system using electronic chart update information according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 3, in the partial update and partial tile map generation system using the electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention, the environment setting unit 100, the metadata generating unit 200, and the update area extracting unit 300 are provided. It comprises a tiling performer 400.

The environment setting unit 100 sets a basic user environment for generating a tile map of the electronic chart. The user environment set by the environment setting unit 100 includes a tiling generation layer list, a tiling area, a zoom level, a coordinate system, a color table, a thimble type, and the like. The operation manager inputs a setting value for each item related to the above-described user environment through the user interface provided by the environment setting unit 100, and the environment setting unit 100 according to the user input tile map of the electronic chart. Set user environment for creation.

The metadata generator 200 checks whether metadata related to tiling exists. If there is no metadata, it is regarded as baseline map tiling, and tiling is performed on all selected areas (all selected tiling areas) according to the user environment set in the environment setting unit 100.

In this case, the basic map tiling refers to a map generated as a result of the initial tiling or a map generated by tiling when it is determined that the whole tiling is more effective than the update management.

The metadata generated as a result of the basic map tiling in the metadata generator 200 is stored in a separate local storage. In this case, the metadata may include information about a layer list selected for tiling, an electronic chart list, a tiling coordinate system, a tiling area, a color table, a thimble type, and the like.

The update area extraction unit 300 reads the metadata and extracts an update area that is a partial tiling target.

For example, when the operation manager performs tiling again with metadata stored, a case of requesting partial update may occur. If the operation manager requests the entire update, the update area extractor 300 does not need to operate because the update is performed for all areas of the electronic chart. Therefore, the update area extractor 300 operates only when there is a user input for requesting partial update tiling in the environment setting unit 100. In this case, the request target for the partial update tiling is a tiling generation layer input by an operation manager. Can be determined according to the list.

If the operation manager requests a partial update, the update area extractor 300 compares the user environment set by the environment setting unit 100 with metadata stored in the local repository. If the two pieces of information match, since there is no update area, the update area extraction unit 300 displays a notification message to the operation manager that there is no update information and ends.

On the contrary, if the set user environment and the metadata stored in the local repository are different, the update area extractor 300 copies the update file to the local repository and then the metadata generated by the metadata generator 200. Compares the update file stored in the local repository with only the updated area.

The tiling performer 400 performs tiling only on the updated region extracted by the update region extractor 300. When tiling is completed, the tiling performer 400 updates metadata and stores the metadata in the local storage.

Hereinafter, a partial update and a partial tile map generation method using electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a method of generating a partial update and a partial tile map using electronic chart update information according to an embodiment of the present invention.

3 and 4, first, the metadata generator 200 checks whether metadata related to tiling exists or not (S100).

If there is no metadata, it is regarded as baseline tiling and tiling is performed for all regions (all selected tiling regions) according to the user environment set in the environment setting unit 100 (S300). ).

The metadata generated as a result of the basic map tiling in the metadata generator 200 is stored in a separate local storage (S400). In this case, the metadata may include information about a layer list selected for tiling, an electronic chart list, a tiling coordinate system, a tiling area, a color table, a thimble type, and the like.

As a result of the determination in step S100, when the metadata exists or when the new metadata is generated through the steps S300 and S400 even if the metadata does not exist, the update area extraction unit 300 requests a partial tiling from the operation manager. It is determined whether there has been (S200).

As a result of the determination, when the operation manager requests the entire update, since the update is performed for all regions of the electronic chart, tiling is performed on all the selected regions set in the environment setting unit 100 to generate new metadata. .

On the contrary, when the operation manager requests a partial update, the update area extractor 300 loads pre-stored metadata (S500) and extracts an update area that is a target of partial tiling by referring to the metadata. (S600).

Extraction of the update area in step S600 may be performed based on the update file or based on object information included in the update file. FIG. 5 illustrates a process of extracting an update area based on an update file according to the first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 6 illustrates object information included in the update file according to the second embodiment of the present invention. A process of extracting an update area is shown.

Hereinafter, a process of extracting an update area according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6.

First of update region extraction Example

Referring to FIG. 5, the update area extractor 300 extracts an electronic chart file list, which is a partial tiling object, with reference to metadata (S310).

The metadata may include information about a layer list selected for tiling, an electronic chart list, a tiling coordinate system, a tiling area, a color table, a thimble type, and the like. The update area extractor 300 includes the selected information included in the metadata. With reference to information such as a layer list and a tiling area, a minimum bounding rectangle (MBR) is extracted from the corresponding file name of the electronic chart file list extracted in step S310, and an update area is extracted based on the extracted file name (S320). ).

For example, if the minimum rectangular region extracted from the file name is included in the selected layer list or tiling region included in the metadata, the file name is added to the list. At this time, if the upper level file of the file is already included in the list, there is no need to add the lower level file is omitted from the list (S330).

For example, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR2A1000', if the upper level file 'KR2A ****' is already added to the list, 'KR2A1000' is omitted without being added to the list.

In addition, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR3A1C00', if 'KR3A ****' or 'KR3A1 ***' is added to the list, 'KR3A1C00' is added to the list. Is omitted.

Similarly, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR4A1C10', and if the top level files 'KR4A ****', 'KR4A1 ***' or 'KR4A1C **' are already added to the list, 'KR4A1C10' is not added to the list and is omitted.

Finally, if the file name to be added to the list is 'KR5A1C12', then the top level files 'KR5A ****', 'KR5A1 ***', 'KR5A1C **', or 'KR5A1C1 *' If already added, 'KR5A1C12' is not added to the list and omitted.

Second of update area extraction Example

On the other hand, in the first embodiment of the above-described update region extraction, since the update region is extracted in file units, it is possible to extract the update region at a high speed, but a problem may occur that tiles to an unnecessary region. The second embodiment of the update region extraction to be described later is characterized in that the minimum rectangular region of the object included in the update file is used for extraction in the update region, thereby solving the problem of tiling to the unnecessary region.

Referring to FIG. 6, the update area extractor 300 extracts a list of electronic chart files to be partially tiled by referring to metadata (S410).

The metadata may include information about a layer list selected for tiling, an electronic chart list, a tiling coordinate system, a tiling area, a color table, a thimble type, and the like. The update area extractor 300 includes the selected information included in the metadata. With reference to information such as a layer list and a tiling area, only a minimum bounding rectangle (MBR) of an object corresponding to a tiling target layer included in the electronic chart file list extracted in step S310 is extracted (S420).

The update file may include change information in which a new object is added, change information in which an original object is changed, change information in which an original object is deleted, and the like.

For example, when the update file includes change information to which a new object is added, the object region extracting unit 300 adds a minimum rectangular region in consideration of the size of the newly added object to the list (S431).

On the other hand, if the update file includes the change information that the original object is changed, the object region extraction unit 300 adds to the list the minimum rectangular region considering the simble size of the object before the change and the object after the change ( S433).

On the other hand, when the update file includes the change information for deleting the original object, the object area extraction unit 300 adds to the list the minimum rectangular area considering the symbol size of the existing object (S435).

Thereafter, the object region extraction unit 300 removes the overlapping minimum rectangular regions by collecting the minimum rectangular regions added to the list through the above-described process, and finally extracts the minimum rectangular regions to be tiled (S440). ).

Referring back to FIG. 3, the tiling performer 400 performs tiling only on the updated region extracted according to the first or second embodiment of the aforementioned update region extraction (S700), and when tiling is completed. In operation S800, metadata is updated and stored in a local repository.

According to the present invention, the tiling cost (time) can be greatly reduced because tiling is performed by generating and utilizing meta information related to the electronic chart update information and extracting only an area requiring tiling.

Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the present invention can be embodied in other specific forms without changing the technical spirit or essential features of the present invention. Therefore, it should be understood that the embodiments described above are exemplary in all respects and not restrictive. The protection scope of the present invention is shown by the following claims rather than the detailed description, and all changes or modifications derived from the claims and their equivalents should be construed as being included in the scope of the present invention.
