Abstract
The embodiments of the present invention relate to a washing machine and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the washing machine comprises a cylindrical inner tub having upper and lower openings, an outer tub having the inner tub installed therein, and an inner tub disposed outside the inner tub, And a tub flange supporting the opened one surface of the inner tub and supporting the connection of the driving unit and the inner tub.
Description
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a washing machine, and more particularly, to a washing machine and a manufacturing method thereof.
Generally, a washing machine is a device for washing clothes by using friction between laundry and laundry such as contaminated clothes or bedding.
Specifically, the washing water forms a water flow in the washing water by the rotation of the pulsator or the agitator so that the washing water and the washing water effectively rub.
These pulsators are installed inside the inner tub. Further, the upper portion of the inner tub is opened for receiving the laundry, and the lower portion of the inner tub is assembled with a tub-u formed to have a smaller diameter toward the lower side of the inner tub.
However, there is a problem in the design of the pulsator diameter due to the assembly of the tub oil. Specifically, since the shape of the pulsator must be selected and installed considering the turbine oil that is narrower than the diameter of the inner tub, the installation space of the pulsator is limited.
Embodiments of the present invention provide a washing machine and a method of manufacturing the same that can improve the freedom of installation space of a pulsator.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a washing machine comprising: a tubular inner tub having an upper and a lower opening; an outer tub having the inner tub installed therein; a driving unit disposed outside the outer tub to rotate the inner tub; And a tub flange for supporting the opened one side of the tub and supporting the connection of the driving unit and the inner tub.
The tub flange may include a radial extension having a plurality of protrusions formed along the circumferential direction of the inner tub to support the connection between the driving unit and the inner tub.
The radial extension may be formed by being bent to be inserted into the inner tub and may be coupled with the inner circumferential surface of the inner tub.
Alternatively, the radial extension may be formed to be bent to support the inner tub and be coupled with the outer circumferential surface of the inner tub.
Alternatively, the radial extension may extend to an outer circumferential surface of the inner tub and be coupled to one surface of the inner tub.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing a washing machine, the method comprising: an inner tub forming step of forming a cylindrical inner tub having an open top and bottom; and forming a tubular flange including a plurality of radially extending radially extending protrusions And a fastening step of tightening the tubular flange forming step and the radial supporting part of the tubular flange to engage with each other so that the opened one surface of the inner tub is coupled.
