Description
The present invention relates to a display device and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to a display device that operates by receiving a pointing signal from a pointing device and a control method thereof.
A display device such as a TV and a monitor includes a display unit for displaying an image and a signal sensing unit for sensing a pointing signal from a pointing device such as a remote controller. The display unit may display only one image on one screen or a plurality of images by dividing one screen into a plurality of regions. The display device may sense a user's pointing signal with respect to an image displayed on the screen through a signal sensing unit and then perform an operation corresponding to the pointing signal, such as a channel change or a volume control operation.
However, since the conventional display device has only one signal sensing unit, when receiving a pointing signal of a user while displaying a plurality of images through a divided screen, There is a problem that it is difficult to grasp intuitively.
