The present invention relates to a coating composition for coating a stainless steel device, in particular a kitchen vessel such as a bowl with a brass color and a coating method using the same.

Stainless steel (abbreviated to stainless steel) is a chromium-containing steel alloy made for the purpose of ameliorating the lack of corrosion, the biggest drawback of iron. In stainless steel, chromium plays the role of an iron coating, whereby stainless steel has a silvery white luster.

Stainless steel is widely used commercially due to its excellent corrosion / rust resistance, low maintenance cost, low cost and luster, and is typical of cookware, hardware, surgical instruments, fountain pen nibs, industrial materials, automotive and aerospace structures, and construction materials. to be. In particular, stainless steel is not only resistant to corrosion but also has antibacterial properties, which makes it useful for food storage containers such as storage tanks and kitchen containers.

On the other hand, brass is a bowl made of brass, also known as organic. Brass is an alloy of copper, tin, zinc, and nickel. Bronze is also a type of brass. The brass bowl is known to release a small amount of minerals beneficial to the human body, to disinfect food and to preserve food taste with excellent thermal insulation effect. However, the brass bowl is expensive and easily deteriorated and has the disadvantage of requiring constant care.

The present invention has been developed in order to overcome the limitations of silver-white stainless steel devices and brass vessels, there is a technical problem to provide a coating composition for coating a stainless steel device, in particular, a kitchen vessel such as a bowl and a coating method using the same. .

In order to solve the above technical problem, the present invention is a coating composition for coating a stainless steel device, water 40 to 60% by weight solvent, at least one of alcohol, 10-30% by weight of PTFE (Polytetra fluoro ethylene) water dispersion , 5-20% by weight of PTFE powder, 1-10% by weight of mica, 1-10% by weight of acrylic binder, 1-10% by weight of white pigment, 1-10% by weight of gold pigment It provides a multicolor coating composition. 1 to 10% by weight of the ceramic powder may be further included.

In another aspect, the present invention provides a coating method of the brass color of the stainless steel device, characterized in that the coating on the surface of the stainless steel device with the above-described brass coating composition, and then calcined at 350 to 450 ℃ for 10 to 30 minutes to cool.

According to the present invention, the surface of the stainless steel device can be coated in brass. In particular, since a stainless steel kitchenware such as a bowl can be safely coated with a brass color, it is possible to supply an inexpensive product that replaces a conventional expensive brass bowl. In addition, the coating of stainless steel provides a stainless steel product that eliminates the inherent odor of stainless steel and is easy to clean.

1 shows a brass coated stainless steel bowl coated according to the present invention.

The present invention is characterized by coating a stainless steel appliance, especially a kitchen vessel such as a bowl with a brass color. To this end, the present invention is a solvent 40 to 60% by weight of water or alcohol, 10 to 30% by weight PTFE (Polytetrafluorofluoroethylene) water dispersion, 5 to 20% by weight PTFE powder, 1 to 10% by weight mica, acrylic It is proposed a brass coating composition composed of 1 to 10% by weight of binder, 1 to 10% by weight of white pigment, and 1 to 10% by weight of gold pigment. 1 to 10% by weight of the ceramic powder may be further included. The content range of these materials is the result of considering the coatability and usability as a coating agent.

In the brass coating composition of the present invention, the solvent, the PTFE water dispersion, and the PTFE powder become a kind of Teflon coating. White pigments and gold pigments are used as a colorant for the development of brass color. White pigments are suitable using zinc oxide and titanium oxide, and gold pigments are suitable using cadmium yellow, cobalt yellow, and gold leaf. Appropriately used at 1 to 10% by weight for the color expression respectively. Mica serves as a natural hydrous aluminum silicate as a colorant, filler, anti-caking agent, etc., the acrylic binder is a binder for adding the binding force of mica, white pigments and gold pigments. Ceramic powder is a material for strengthening the hardness of the coating, it is appropriate that the average particle size of 5mm ~ 10mm or less in the silica type or zirconium type.

Such a brass coating composition is prepared by mixing and dispersing a PTFE water dispersant and a PTFE powder in a solvent and mixing and stirring a mica, an acrylic binder, a pigment, and a ceramic powder. The brass coating composition thus prepared may be coated on a surface of a stainless steel apparatus by firing at 350 to 450 ° C. for 10 to 30 minutes and then cooling the coating. The coating of the coating is preferably a high pressure spray method.

Meanwhile, before coating with the brass coating composition, the stainless steel machine is baked at a temperature of about 400 ° C. for about 30 minutes to remove impurities on the surface of the stainless steel, or after being baked at 130 to 180 ° C. with a conventional Teflon coating primer and cooled. It is desirable to make the adhesion of the brass coating composition effective.

In addition, if the stainless steel appliance is a kitchen vessel such as a bowl, it is preferable to coat the outer surface first and then the inner surface. Usually, the inner surface of the bowl is considered more important than the outer surface, because if the inner surface is coated first, the coating may float on the inner surface in the process of coating the outer surface, and the inner surface may not be smoothed. .
