Abstract

The present invention relates to a river-crossing apparatus using gravity, which is used in crossing a river in an area without a bridge. In particular, a useful apparatus is included to be utilized in a small town isolated by a river. A ropeway using gravity for crossing a river is a new concept apparatus which operates using gravity and includes an optimized design. The apparatus comprises a tower, a wire, a loading unit, a fixed weight, and other mechanical components which control the loading unit to move along a predetermined path. A steel wire used in the present invention has an infinite loop shape. When additional loads occur in the loading unit (one or both loading units), the two loading units and two fixed weights move in the opposite direction to each other along an inclined plane in order to keep the balance. As a result, people can easily cross a river. The apparatus operate much easily when additional loads occur in both loading units. The point where the additional loads apply tends to move in a low direction (of imbalance loads) and this generates potential energy which moves the loading unit to a low position.

Description

Rope-way based on gravity

The present invention is a useful device for overcoming rivers, ditches and similar obstacles using simple mechanical principles based on gravity theory.

This can be very useful in small villages that are not equipped with bridges or rivers. There is no prior art of similar fields in the steelmaking apparatus utilizing the gravity.

Gravity usually works in only one direction, so mathematical calculations and engineering judgments in mind, tower height, payload weight, wire inclination and other safety mechanisms are technical considerations when designing the device.

The device is designed to be safer than conventional techniques utilizing a loading compartment. The device is also easy to deploy in any terrain and requires only simple technical knowledge in system maintenance and operation.

The present invention is a steel device for people living in a mountainous area, by using the present invention can be easy, safe, fast, inexpensive steel. In addition, by utilizing the device, it is possible to reduce the transportation time and cost.

In the following figure there are two vertical towers including a pulley device. Each tower has four pulleys installed in different directions. There are also two anchors and a transport compartment. The height of the tower determines the width of the river.
