Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an educational toy, and more particularly, to a toy for explaining a single pendulum motion, resonance effect, and stop inertia using an acrylic weight.
In general, educational toys as shown in Figure 1 are sold.
By the way, as shown in Figure 2, using an acrylic weight, rather than the general addition to stimulate children's curiosity, such as water and helps to explain the three concepts in a complex.
The merchandise on the market is not economical, difficult to operate, expensive to repair and has only one concept.
We made economical products using products that are easily available in the surroundings, and made them to be manipulated using acrylic weights, and made it easier to explain three or more concepts.
However, students who do not understand the concept and formula of the pendulum movement simply by teacher's class will be able to easily access this theory by experiencing this work firsthand. In addition, early childhood students can play with the lessons directly. It will be a great help.
See Figure 3.
A-The key to pendulum movement is the weight, which allows water to enter the sphere, which has the strength to change mass. In addition to water, colorful powder or character stickers can be attached to help children learn as well as learn from this concept.
B, C-C and B are attached to the bottom and bottom to adjust the size of gravity using the manpower.
D-The support chosen to effectively demonstrate the pendulum motion and resonance effects.
E-Measures the period directly through E and helps to recalculate through the formula.
See [Fig. 4]
1) Explanation of single pendulum motion ①①②③ type
This work can only explain the harmonic movement. The core of harmonic motion, however, is the period, which is [T: 2π (L / G) ^ 0.5]. As shown in the picture above, the concept of single pendulum motion can be divided into 1, 2, and 3 types to experiment.
① Type [◈ Control Variables: Thread Length, Mass ◈ Operation Variables: Gravity ◈ Dependent Variables: Cycle]
In this type, the lengths and masses of the two weights of the test subjects were arranged to be equal to each other, and the gravity difference was used to directly see the difference in the periods by using the gravity plate of the magnet plate on the floor and the magnet under the weight.
② No. [◈ Control Variables: Thread Length, Gravity ◈ Operation Variables: Mass ◈ Dependent Variables: Cycle]
This type arranges the thread length and gravity of the two weights to be equal to each other and varies the size of the acrylic weights so that you can see how the difference in mass affects the cycle.
③ No. [◈ Control Variables: Mass, Gravity ◈ Operation Variables: Thread Length ◈ Dependent Variables: Period]
This type allows the weight and mass of the two weights to be equal and the length of the thread to be different so that you can observe how the length of the thread affects the cycle.
2) Resonance Effect-④ Type
This work can also explain resonance. Resonance is when a vibration or signal of a certain frequency is intensified by an external vibration or signal. For example, when swinging or swinging weight, if you apply force in accordance with the movement, it will shake greatly regardless of mass with very little force. So, if you shake one of the four weights like the type ④, you can see that it shakes with three additional additions in the same position.
3) Law of Inertia-⑤ Type
Finally, when shaking the pendulum by putting water inside the pendulum, it can be confirmed through
A: acrylic weight
B: magnet
C: magnetic plate
D: thread
E: timer
