Description

Pad Printing Device {PAD PRINTING APPARATUS}

The present invention relates to a pad printing apparatus.

Pad printing is one of the printing techniques for transferring 2-D images to 3-D objects. The pad printing is used to transfer an image from a printing plate using a soft pad such as silicon, Transferring to a -D print object has the advantage that the printing process is simple and the image can be easily printed on the curved 3-D side.

The pad used in the conventional pad printing was produced through the process of making a mold of a desired shape, and putting the raw material into the mold to cure. Gelatin was commonly used as the raw material, but recently, RTV silicone (room temperature vulcanization silicone) is mainly used.

The type of the pad is determined according to the pattern to be printed and the shape of the object to be transferred. In the past, pad printing is mainly used for the purpose of simple printing, such as letters. The shape of the pad determined the shape.

However, in recent years, pad printing is being used not only for curved surfaces but also for printing on a large area, and even in this case, proper pad design has become a very important factor in order to secure stable print quality. In particular, in home appliances and the like, most of the parts requiring printing have curved surfaces in all directions rather than curved surfaces in one direction, and it is difficult to secure proper printing quality in a conventional pad shape.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a pad printing apparatus capable of accurately printing a pattern on a curved surface or a workpiece having a large area.

The pad printing apparatus of the present invention is a pad printing apparatus comprising a pad for adhering ink filled on a printing plate engraved in a predetermined pattern and being pressed and transferred to the workpiece, wherein the pad has a hollow structure having a predetermined space therein. Is formed.

In another aspect, the pad printing apparatus of the present invention is a pad printing apparatus comprising a pad for adhering ink filled in a printing plate engraved in a predetermined pattern and being pressed and transferred to the workpiece, wherein the pad is filled in the printing plate. Deformation member which is adhered to the ink, the deformation is made when the ink is pressed; And when the deformation member is pressed against the workpiece, deformation is made in a portion including the front end of the deformation member is in contact with the workpiece, other parts are limited to the deformation surrounding the deformation member disposed so that deformation is limited Member.

In another aspect, the pad printing apparatus of the present invention is a pad printing apparatus comprising a pad for adhering ink filled in a printing plate engraved in a predetermined pattern and being pressed and transferred to the workpiece, wherein the pad is a soft deformable material. A soft member formed of; A hard member formed of a harder material than the soft member and disposed on a portion to which ink is attached; And a heavy member connecting the soft member and the hard member and having a hardness between the soft member and the hard member.

While the pad printing apparatus of the present invention is formed of a material of higher hardness than the conventional pad, the hollow can be formed in the pad to be smoothly deformed when pressed with the workpiece, thereby improving the accuracy of printing and the life of the pad. There is an effect that can be extended.

In addition, the pad printing apparatus of the present invention has the effect that it is possible to accurately print the pattern on the curved surface or the workpiece having a large area.

In addition, the pad printing apparatus of the present invention has the effect of reducing the interference with the workpiece during printing.

Advantages and features of the present invention, and methods of achieving the same will become apparent with reference to the embodiments described below in detail in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. The present invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the scope of the invention to those skilled in the art. To fully disclose the scope of the invention to those skilled in the art, and the invention is only defined by the scope of the claims. Like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout.

1 shows a pad printing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 illustrates a process of printing by the pad printing apparatus shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 2A illustrates a time when the pad 100 is in an elevated position, and FIG. Shows the state in which the pad 100 is pushed down to hold the workpiece 10.

1 to 2, the pad printing apparatus 1 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a holder 2 on which a workpiece 10, which is a print object, is mounted, and a pad support part provided to be elevated up and down. 20 and the pad 100 supported by the pad support 20.

The pad 100 forms a predetermined pattern through an intaglio processing such as an etching process to adhere the ink from a printing plate filled with ink, and then transfers the ink to the 3-D printing object.

Hereinafter, a pattern is used on the back surface of the 3-D shaped workpiece 10 having the first surface 11 and the second surface 12 bent from the first surface 11 by using the pad printing apparatus 1. Printing is described as an example.

The pad 100 is made of a deformable material such as silicon so that deformation may be made according to the shape of the workpiece 10, and a hollow 110 is formed therein.

The print quality of the pattern printed on the object through the pad printing method is affected by the shape and hardness of the pad. In general, the higher the hardness of the pad, the higher the accuracy of printing and is advantageous for printing characters. However, a pad having a hardness of a certain level or more is disadvantageous in printing on a 3-D shaped workpiece having a curved surface or the like because the pad is limited in the degree of deformation of the pad when pressed with the workpiece. In addition, when the hard pad is pressed onto the workpiece, the hard pad may concentrate stress on a specific portion of the workpiece to leave a mark.

On the contrary, as the hardness of the pad is lowered, it is advantageous for curved surface printing, and the likelihood of leaving marks on the workpiece is lowered, but the accuracy of printing a pattern such as a character is inferior.

Since the pad 100 according to the present embodiment has a hollow formed therein, even when the pad 100 is formed of a relatively hard material, deformation is smoothly performed when the pad 100 is pressed against the workpiece 20. Thus, not only is easy for curved surface printing, but also print quality is improved.

3 illustrates a process of manufacturing the pad illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2. Referring to FIG. 3, the pad 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a mold 410 designed in consideration of the shape of the pad 100 and a core 420 for forming the hollow 110. (See FIGS. 3A and 3B), a raw material such as silicon is filled between the mold 410 and the core 420. After the raw material is cured, the core 420 is removed (see FIG. 3C), and the pad 100 is bonded to the pad support 20.

When the pad 100 is pressed against the workpiece 10, the pad supporter 20 may have a discharge passage 21 so that air in the hollow 110 may be discharged.

4 illustrates a pad according to another embodiment of the present invention. Referring to Figure 4, the pad 200 according to another embodiment of the present invention is to deform the deformation member 210 and the deformation member 210 made of a soft material, such as silicon, the deformation member 210 is deformed Limiting deformation limiting member 220 is included. The deformation limiting member 220 is formed in a tubular shape to surround the outside of the deformation member 210.

Deformation limiting member 220 may be disposed surrounding the upper portion of the deformation member 210, in this case, when the pad 200 is pressed onto the workpiece 10, the upper portion of the deformation member 210 is the deformation limiting member ( Deformation is limited by the 220, but the lower portion is deformed according to the shape of the workpiece 10. That is, when the deforming member 210 is pressed against the workpiece 10, the deformation member 210 is deformed at a portion including the tip of the deforming member 210, which is in contact with the workpiece 10, and other portions of the deforming member 210 are 210. Deformation is limited by the deformation limiting member 220 disposed to surround the deformation member 210 between the tip of the pad and the pad support 20.

In the present embodiment, the deforming member 210 may be the pad 100 in the above-described embodiment, but is not limited thereto and may be formed without the hollow 110.

The pad 200 according to the present embodiment may reduce interference with the workpiece 10 when the pad 200 is compressed with the workpiece 10, and in particular, the second surface 12 when printing on the rear surface of the workpiece having the 3-D shape. This can reduce the interference of protrusions such as. In addition, there is an effect that can increase the life of the pad 200.

5 illustrates a pad according to another embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 5, the pad 300 according to another embodiment of the present invention has a multilayer structure in which a plurality of members made of materials having different hardnesses are stacked.

The pad 300 according to the present embodiment has a hardness between the hardness of the hard member 310 and the hardness of the soft member 320 between the hard member 310 and the soft member 320 having different hardnesses. Made of heavy member 330 is connected.

In particular, the hardest member 310 is disposed at the lower portion of the pad 300 which is in contact with the workpiece 10, and the upper portion is made of a soft material so that the hardness is lower than that of the hard member 310 and easily bottled. The formed soft member 320 is disposed, and the hard member 310 and the soft member 320 are connected by the heavy member 330.

Therefore, the hard member 310 that is pressed onto the workpiece 10 during printing is relatively less deformed than other parts, and the quality of the pattern printed on the workpiece 10 is improved, as well as the workpiece 10 and Minimize interference.

In addition, since the soft member 320 is smoothly deformed, stress can be prevented from being concentrated on the workpiece 10, and the hard member 310 and the soft member 320 have different hardnesses. By the buffering action of the heavy member 330, the behavior between the hard member 310 and the soft member 320 is not limited to each other can be made smoothly.

On the other hand, the term "hard member" mentioned above is sufficient to be understood as meaning that the hardness is higher when compared with the soft member, and should not be misunderstood only in the sense that no deformation is made at all. For example, the hard member and the soft member may be formed of a deformable material such as silicon, but may have a hardness higher than that of the soft member due to the difference in processing of the material.
