Abstract

PURPOSE: A stand-by power saving control method of a microwave oven is provided to enable a clock function even in a stand-by power saving mode by cutting off the power of a control unit or display unit according to the time setting of a microwave oven. CONSTITUTION: A stand-by power saving control method of a microwave oven is as follows. When entering a stand-by power saving mode, it is determined whether time is set(S2,S3). If time is set, the power of a display unit is cut off while maintaining the power of a control unit(S4). When a clock key signal is inputted, power is supplied to the display unit for a fixed time to display the current time.
