Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle multimedia apparatus, and more particularly, to a display control system and method of a vehicle multimedia apparatus.
The vehicle is equipped with head lamps, tail lamps, emergency indicator lamps, key hole lighting and interior lighting. The in-vehicle driver's seat is provided with multimedia devices such as an audio device, a video device, and a navigation device. In general, a display unit of an in-vehicle multimedia device includes a liquid crystal display (LCD).
In general, in the daytime, the visibility of the LCD unit is not clearly seen due to the light inside and the outside of the vehicle. On the contrary, referring to FIG. 1, in the related art, the front light sensor is installed in front of the vehicle, and the
However, the conventional vehicle multimedia apparatus does not consider the amount of interior lighting inside the vehicle, and only depends on the amount of external light measured by the front light sensor, so that when indoor lighting is turned on and metering is introduced into the vehicle at sunset, and the vehicle There is a problem in that visibility of the LCD unit is deteriorated because light scattering of the LCD surface due to light incident from the rear surface is not considered.
Disclosure of Invention The present invention provides a display control system and method for a vehicle multimedia apparatus for improving visibility of a display unit of a vehicle multimedia apparatus in consideration of metering in a vehicle.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a display control system for a multimedia device for a vehicle may include a photometric detector configured to detect photometric incident light provided on at least one side of a display unit of the multimedia apparatus and output a photometric inflow amount, and according to the photometric inflow amount in advance. And a controller configured to adjust the brightness of the display unit based on the set brightness value.
When the control unit adjusts the brightness of the display unit based on the metering inflow rate, if the ratio of the metering inflow amount and the brightness of the display unit is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the control unit increases the brightness of the display unit by a predetermined size according to the ratio. Even if it is possible to improve the visibility of the display unit.
The apparatus may further include a front light sensor that detects light from the outside of the vehicle and measures and outputs an external light amount, wherein the controller controls daytime or nighttime based on the external light amount when adjusting the brightness of the display unit based on the metering inflow amount. When the recognition is the daytime, by adding a predetermined amount to the preset increase amount to adjust the brightness of the display unit to increase the brightness of the display unit in the daytime than the nighttime to further improve the visibility of the display unit have.
In addition, when the controller recognizes the day, the display unit may increase the contrast by a certain amount, thereby increasing the contrast in the daytime than in the nighttime, thereby further improving the visibility of the display unit.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, a display adjustment method of a multimedia device for a vehicle may include: measuring a metering inflow by sensing metering incident on a display unit of the multimedia apparatus; And adjusting brightness of the display unit based on a preset brightness value according to the metering inflow amount.
By such a configuration, visibility may be improved by adjusting display states such as brightness and contrast of a vehicle multimedia apparatus in consideration of light metering and external brightness of the vehicle.
Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, in the following description, when there is a risk of unnecessarily obscuring the gist of the present invention, a detailed description of well-known functions or configurations will be omitted.
The present invention is equipped with a metering detection sensor for detecting the metering incident to the display unit (for example, liquid crystal display (LCD) unit) in the vehicle multimedia device, the metering inflow amount detected by the metering detection sensor and the brightness of the display unit of the multimedia device Compare and adjust the brightness or contrast of the LCD.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5.
