Description

Dummy-Bar for the Thinner-Slab continuous casting apparatus}Dummy-Bar for the Thinner-Slab continuous casting apparatus

The present invention relates to a dummy bar of a thin slab continuous casting machine, and more particularly, to a dummy bar of a thin slab continuous casting machine which can prevent the occurrence of cracks by preventing the supercooling of the center portion of the initial cast at the start of continuous casting.

The dummy bar of the continuous casting machine is used to prevent improper flow of molten steel injected into the mold at the beginning of the continuous casting process and to lead the product at the playing speed of the casting product.

The molten steel injected into the mold in the tundish is solidified in close contact with the head of the dummy bar. Then, when the dummy bar is moved downward by the pinch roll, the solidified initial cast (hereinafter referred to as ultra cast) is moved downward together to start continuous casting.

Thereafter, the dummy bar and the slab are separated by the bending roll, the separated dummy bar is moved downward to be separated from the line, and the cast is moved along the guide roll while the continuous casting is performed.

On the other hand, in the case of continuous continuous slab casting, the initial molten steel injection rate is about 1/4 of that of the general slab continuous casting, and the casting speed is relatively fast, so that there is a risk of cracking due to the initial cooling amount and the unevenness of the initial solidification layer. very big.

However, since the center of the conventional dummy bar head protrudes upward and enters the molten steel, the central portion of the molten steel is supercooled to form a solidified layer.

In other words, concentrated cooling occurs in the center portion of the ultra-thin piece, so that a region having a relatively low ductility of the material is generated. In this case, cracks are generated on the surface of the ultra cast.

As the crack is generated on the surface of the product as described above, the surface quality of the product is deteriorated, and thus the cutting part of the product is deteriorated because the front end portion of the crack is cut off and removed.

Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems, the thin slab continuous casting machine that can improve the surface quality and recovery rate of the product by preventing the occurrence of cracks on the surface of the ultra-thin piece to prevent the supercooling of the center piece The purpose is to provide a dummy bar.

The present invention for achieving the above object,

바디와;Body;

상기 바디의 상부에 형성되어 연속주조 개시전 몰드의 하부에 삽입되며, 중심부가 오목한 형상으로 형성된 헤드;A head formed on an upper portion of the body and inserted into a lower portion of a mold before initiating continuous casting, and having a central portion formed in a concave shape;

It is made, including.

In addition, the upper surface of the head is formed in a gentle V-shape formed inclined surfaces on both sides with respect to the center.

In addition, on the upper surface of the head, a thrust head having protrusions protruding upward is mounted.

According to the present invention as described above,

Since the upper surface of the head is formed in a concave shape in the center, the amount of heat released in the center of the molten steel is reduced, so that an unsolidified layer is formed in the center of the ultrathin piece.

Accordingly, cracks are prevented from occurring on the surface of the product because internal ductility exists even when stress caused by shrinkage occurs during solidification of the ultra slab.

Therefore, the surface quality of the product is improved, and the cutting amount of the cutting edge is reduced, and thus the recovery rate of the product is improved.

Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings the present invention will be described in detail.

1 is a schematic view of a dummy bar with a head inserted in a mold.

The dummy bar 20 of the thin slab player includes a body 21 and a head 22 formed thereon, the body 21 is of a straight line type, and the head 22 starts continuous casting. Previously, it is inserted under the mold 10.

The dummy bar 20 according to the present invention is characterized in that the central portion of the head 22 is formed concave downward.

That is, as shown, the upper surface (22a) of the head 22 forms a gentle V-shape formed inclined surfaces on both sides with respect to the center.

Meanwhile, the thrust head 30 is attached to the top surface 22a of the head 22 of the dummy bar 20.

The rust head 30 is composed of a flat body that is tightly fixed to the upper surface 22a of the dummy bar 20, the head 22, and a protrusion 31 protruding upward on the upper surface of the body.

Both sides of the top surface 22a of the head 22 of the dummy bar 20 are formed in a planar inclined surface, so that the body of the rust head 30 can be manufactured in a simple flat form, and the rust head 30 is piled up. The bar 20 is easy to attach to the head 22.

The shape of the protrusion part 31 is not particularly limited, but a shape having a greater bonding force with molten steel at the time of solidifying molten steel is preferable.

As shown in the drawing, the head 22 of the dummy bar 10 is inserted into the lower portion of the mold 10, and in the state in which molten steel is injected from the upper side into the mold 10, the molten steel is removed. When the solidification degree is solid, the protrusion part 31 of the thrust head 30 and the molten steel are coupled, and when the body 21 of the dummy bar 20 is moved downward in the state, the head 22 of the dummy bar 20 is molded. The molten steel is pulled out from (10) and discharged from the mold (10), after which an ultra cast is formed through cooling by the cooling water, and the continuous casting continues as the down cast moves.

As the upper surface of the dummy bar 20, the head 22 is formed in a concave shape as described above, heat transfer (heat dissipation) due to contact with the dummy bar 20, the head 22 is mainly on both sides of the head 22. It is made in a portion (part A: heat dissipation part) in contact with the inclined surface.

Therefore, intensive heat dissipation does not occur in the central portion of the molten steel as in the prior art, thereby preventing overcooling of the central molten steel.

Accordingly, a high temperature non-solidified layer is formed at the center portion in the width direction of the ultra cast so that the internal ductility is maintained even when stress is generated due to the cooling shrinkage of the surface during casting, thereby preventing cracks from occurring on the surface of the product.

In other words, it is possible to form a temperature distribution in the same pattern as the distribution of the temperature in the slab when the initial playing time has elapsed and the normal continuous casting is performed.

As described above, cracks do not occur on the surface of the ultra cast, thereby improving the surface quality of the product.

In addition, for the same reason, it is not necessary to cut and remove the tip (part where a large amount of crack has occurred) of the ultra-thin piece, thereby improving the product recovery rate.

As described above, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of cracks on the surface of the ultra-thin piece by using a dummy bar having a concave shape of the upper surface, which is useful during thin slab continuous casting is likely to crack on the surface of the ultra-thin piece.

On the other hand, the risk of accidental leakage of the molten steel due to the formation of the non-solidified layer can be avoided by increasing the residence time of the outer cast in the mold or increasing the amount of initial cooling water.
