Claims (8)
- 양극/분리막/음극 구조의 전극조립체(젤리-롤)가 원통형 캔에 내장되어 있는 구조의 전지로서, 캔의 개방된 상단부의 내측에는 캡 어셈블리의 탑재를 위한 단차가 형성되어 있으며, 캡 어셈블리를 상기 개방 상단부에 고정할 수 있도록, 상기 개방 상단부의 외측에는 캔의 외면을 따라 연속적인 그루브가 형성되어 있고, 상기 그루브에는 캔의 상단부를 가압하는 환형부재가 장착되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 단차는 캔의 내측으로 0.03 ~ 0.1 mm의 깊이로 형성되어 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 그루브는 0.5 ~ 3 mm의 폭과 0.06 ~ 0.2 mm의 깊이로 형성되어 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 환형부재는 금속 링인 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 금속 링은 그루브에서 소성 변형되어 캔을 가압하는 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 캡 어셈블리는 전류차단부재(CID), 전류차단부재용 가스켓, 안전벤트, PTC 소자, 및 하나 이상의 가스 배출구가 형성되어 있는 탑 캡의 적층 구조로 이루어져 있고, 그것의 외주면에 가스켓이 장착된 상태로 상기 개방 상단부의 내측 단차 상에 탑재되는 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지는 리튬 이차전지인 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 하나에 따른 원통형 전지를 제조하는 방법으로서,(a) 캔의 개방 상단부의 내측 단차 상에 캡 어셈블리를 탑재하는 단계;(b) 캔 외면의 그루브 상에 환형부재를 장착하는 단계; 및(c) 상기 환형부재의 전체를 캔의 중심축 방향으로 균일하게 가압하여 소성 변형시키는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 원통형 전지의 제조방법.
