Abstract

An LED(Light Emitting Diode) control unit for a vehicle is provided to remarkably reduce power consumption of a battery by minimizing a dark current flowing in each element in turning off an LED. An LED control unit for a vehicle includes a voltage regulator circuit(1), a microcomputer(2), and a Tr constant voltage power circuit(4). The voltage regulator circuit generates power of 12V of a battery(6) into power of 5V for the microcomputer and an internal logic. The microcomputer controls on/off and dimming of an LED(5) by driving the Tr constant voltage power circuit according to input of a signal of an operation switch(3) and has a sleep/wake up function to switch an active state and a standby state.
