Abstract

A broadcasting receiving apparatus capable of searching contents and a contents searching method of the apparatus are provided to allow a user to designate a keyword by using broadcasting information displayed on a screen without inputting the keyword and search contents related to the keyword through various media. A broadcasting receiving apparatus(100) includes a detector(110), an output unit(130), and a controller(120). The detector receives a broadcasting signal and detects broadcasting information included in the broadcasting signal. The output unit displays an image corresponding to the broadcasting signal on a screen and displays the detected broadcasting information on a region of the screen. The controller displays at least a part of the detected broadcasting information in a search target state when a search command is inputted and searches contents related to the broadcasting information displayed in the search target state when the broadcasting information is selected.

본 발명은 컨텐츠 검색이 가능한 방송수신장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는, 화면상에 표시되는 방송 정보를 이용하여 컨텐츠를 검색할 수 있는 방송수신장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다.
