Recently, active radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensor node technologies have been actively studied. This technology, along with digital TV, home networks and intelligent robots, is expected to become a key industry of the future beyond current Code Devision Multiple Access (CDMA) technology. In other words, not only increases the recognition distance of the tag, but also detects the object information and the environment information around the tag. It is expected that the scope of information flow can be extended from communication between people and things through networking to communication between things. Therefore, in order to drive the radio wave identification tag and the sensor node, it is important to secure a self-power source completely independent of the reader by using a power element having a small size, light weight, and long lifespan suitable for a tag or node standard.
To date, there are film primary batteries among power devices that have been applied to RFID tags and sensor nodes. The electrode and electrolyte composition of the film primary battery are the same as those of a conventional battery and an alkaline battery, but the supporting container uses a PET (polyethylene terephalate) -based packaging material having a laminated film form without using a conventional cylindrical can. PET film used as a packaging material of the film primary battery according to the prior art is excellent in barrier properties because of low oxygen permeability. However, when the packaging material is made of a PET-based material, the hydrophilicity is relatively high compared to the case where the packaging material is made of a polyolefin series due to an ester group present on the surface of the packaging material. Accordingly, there is a disadvantage in that the permeability of water and oxygen is increased when there is excessive moisture in the surroundings. In addition, in some cases, moisture contained in the electrolyte solution inside the packaging material easily penetrates into the packaging film and may be evaporated and leaked through the packaging material. In addition, the film made of a PET-based material has a low corrosion resistance to strong acids or strong bases may cause corrosion of the film when in direct contact with a strong acid or strong base electrolyte. These disadvantages result in serious adverse effects on the durability, long-term storage, and life characteristics of the film cell.

비교예Comparative example
In order to evaluate the permeability characteristics and the corrosion resistance of each of the multilayer polymer films prepared in Examples 1 to 5, a polyethylene terephthalate-based film applied as a packaging material to a film battery in the prior art was prepared. Two polyethylene terephthalate films having a thickness of 40 μm were prepared, and both surfaces of each film were subjected to corona discharge treatment, and then, they were bonded using an adhesive layer to prepare a polyethylene terephthalate double layer polymer film having a thickness of 86 μm.
Table 1 shows the results of measuring the permeability to oxygen, carbon dioxide, and moisture of the multilayer polymer films prepared in Examples 1 to 5 and the polymer film prepared in Comparative Example. Permeability measurements were made at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
As shown in Table 1, with respect to oxygen, carbon dioxide, and moisture, the multilayer polymer films prepared in Examples 1 to 5 exhibited excellent permeation inhibition properties compared to the comparative examples. From the results of Table 1, it can be seen that the multilayer polymer film according to the present invention can effectively block air and moisture from the outside of the battery when used as a film battery packaging material or a film battery packaging material.
Table 2 shows the occurrence of corrosion in the electrolyte solution consisting of 6 M aqueous NH 4 Cl solution and 6 M aqueous KOH solution for the multilayer polymer films prepared in Examples 1 to 5 and each of the polymer films prepared in Comparative Example. The observed result is shown.
In Table 2, "o" indicates a case where corrosion occurs on the film surface, "Δ" indicates a case where some corrosion occurs on the film surface, and "x" indicates a case where corrosion does not occur.
From the results of Table 2, it can be seen that the multilayer polymer films prepared in Examples 1 to 5 according to the present invention exhibit excellent corrosion resistance properties under both strong acid and strong base conditions. The results of Table 2 show that the multilayer polymer film according to the present invention can prevent deterioration of the battery by providing excellent corrosion resistance even when applied to the existing manganese or alkaline cells.
The polymer battery packaging material according to the present invention includes a first polymer film, a second polymer film, and a third polymer film each made of different materials. In particular, the first polymer film is composed of a hydrocarbon compound substituted or unsubstituted with F atoms to impart hydrophobicity at the outermost side of the packaging material, and the second polymer film is an amorphous polymer to inhibit the permeation of oxygen and carbon dioxide. The third polymer film is made of a polymer having a tensile strength and a tensile rate of a predetermined value or more to impart excellent mechanical strength. Therefore, the polymer packaging material for a film battery according to the present invention can permeate gas of small molecules such as hydrogen gas well, and permeation of oxygen, carbon dioxide or moisture in the air can be suppressed.
When the polymer battery packaging material according to the present invention or the current collector for film battery packaging material according to the present invention is applied to the production of a film battery, the hydrogen gas generated inside the battery during the discharge process is gradually discharged to the outside of the battery from the outside of the battery. By blocking the inflow of air, the content of water in the electrolyte in the film battery can be kept constant. As a result, the long-term stability of the film battery can be improved, and the performance of the battery can be stably maintained even during long-term discharge. In addition, the polymer packaging material for a film battery according to the present invention does not cause corrosion at all, even when exposed to strong acids and strong bases at all, and may block the permeation and penetration of the electrolyte through the film. Therefore, the utilization rate and energy density of a film battery capacity, high rate discharge characteristic, and pulse discharge characteristic can be improved.
Polymer battery packaging material according to the present invention can be manufactured by applying the conventional process that was applied to form a conventional multilayer film as it is possible to lower the product cost and mass production.
