An apparatus for moving a seat for a vehicle is provided to reduce noise between a lead screw for moving the seat and a lead nut, and to reduce weight of the entire apparatus. An apparatus for moving a seat for a vehicle comprises a lead screw(20) connected to a gear box(10) and rotated axially, and a lead nut(30) screwed to an outer circumference surface of the lead screw and simultaneously connected to a seat track rail. The lead nut is spirally moved along the axial direction of the lead screw by axial rotation of the lead screw, thereby moving the seat. The lead nut includes a seat connection member(32) and a screw joint member(34). The seat connection member is provided with a cut part(32a) in the middle of the upper part thereof and a through-hole(32b) that the lead screw passes through. The screw joint member is assembled to the cut part of the seat connection member and includes a spirally penetrated part(34a) that is screwed to the lead screw.
