The present invention relates to a sterilizer for a water purifier using a photocatalyst decomposition device, and more particularly, a photocatalyst capable of sterilizing harmful bacteria in a water tank as the ozonated air is decomposed in the photocatalyst decomposition device to promote sterilization efficiency and then put into a water tank. It relates to a sterilizer for a water purifier using a decomposition device.

In general, small water purifiers used in homes and restaurants, and large water purifiers such as schools and factories periodically replace, clean, and sterilize filters. At this time, the sterilization work mainly used is a method by ozone which is widely used in various fields as sterilization / oxidizer. Ozone is present in trace amounts in the air (0.005 ppm) and relatively high in air, such as coasts, high mountains, and forests, which have a lot of ultraviolet rays (about 0.02 ppm). In addition, the ozone is easily killed by E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, O-157, even at low concentrations. It has been used for sterilization and odor removal in various fields such as aquaculture fishing, air purifier and air conditioner suction air.

However, ozone adversely affects the human body above a certain concentration, so the concentration must be controlled very carefully in its use and reaches the limit of sterilization.

On the other hand, in the photocatalytic decomposition reaction, as pollutants pass between the photocatalytic coating carriers irradiated with ultraviolet rays, active species having strong oxidizing power on the surface of the photocatalyst oxidize harmful substances and decompose into carbon dioxide and water, which are harmless to the human body. By using such a photocatalytic reaction, not only the hardly decomposable organic material can be decomposed into carbon dioxide and water, but also the bactericidal effect can be obtained by oxidizing and destroying cell membranes such as bacteria and mold.

The present invention proposes a device capable of completely sterilizing even harmful microorganisms remaining in the storage tank by employing an ozone generator and a photocatalytic decomposition device.

The present invention is to overcome the above-mentioned conventional problems, an object of the present invention is to completely sterilize the microorganisms inside the water purifier storage tank by photocatalytic decomposition of the prepared ozone air and then injected into the water purification tank of the water purifier. The present invention provides a sterilization apparatus for water purifiers using a photocatalytic decomposition device capable of delaying the growth of microorganisms to increase the water purifier cleaning cycle and shortening the cleaning time.

Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

1 is a view showing the configuration of a sterilizing apparatus for a water purifier using a photocatalyst decomposition apparatus according to the present invention. Oxygen in the air supplied from the air supply pipe is converted into ozone through the ozone generator and then transferred to the photocatalytic decomposition device, where ozone gas is decomposed to promote sterilization efficiency, and then injected into the water purifier to sterilize harmful microorganisms. do. The acid catalyst 48 is attached to the photocatalytic decomposition device 40 provided between the 46 and the second connection pipe.

In addition, the photocatalytic decomposition device 40 has a quartz tube 44 coated with a photocatalyst coated outside the UV lamp 42 in a coil shape.

In addition, the air pump 20, the ozone generator 30 and the photocatalytic decomposition device 40 are operated by a timer (14).

The above is described in more detail as follows.

First, the air pump 20 is installed inside the case 10 to supply external air to the ozone generator 30 through the air supply pipe 22 when the air pump 20 is operated. At this time, the ozone generator 30 is installed inside the case and has a cooling fan 32 on one side. In addition, the ozone generator 30 is a high frequency high voltage transformer 36 installed on one side of the circuit board 34 to convert the power of the commercial frequency into a high frequency power source, and applying the high frequency high pressure to the ozone generator, thereby generating the ozone generator 30 ) Converts oxygen in the air passing through the air pump 20 into ozone gas through the discharge tube.

Next, the ozone gas generated by the ozone generator described above is transferred to the photocatalytic decomposition device 40 through the first connecting pipe 45.

In the photocatalyst decomposition device, a quartz tube 44 coated with a photocatalyst on the outside of the UV lamp 42 is wound in a coil shape. The UV lamp 42 is connected to the ballast 16 to control the irradiation amount of ultraviolet rays, and when light hits the photocatalyst, electrons having negative electricity and holes having positive electricity are generated. These electrons and holes have very strong reducing and oxidizing power, and produce strong active radicals (· OH) and peroxygen ions (O 2 −) from water and oxygen in the atmosphere. Active species, such as hydroxyl radicals and peroxygen ions, have strong oxidation and reducing power, which disinfects and decomposes organic pollutants into harmless water and carbon dioxide.

In addition, the above-described photocatalytic decomposition device 40 is connected to the second connecting pipe 46 and the hose 47, and then attached to the end of the hose, an acidic stone 48, which is a porous stone, finely disperses the particles of air to be injected.

Meanwhile, a timer 14 is attached to one side of the case 10 together with the power on / off switch 12, and the air pump 20, the ozone generator 30, and the photocatalytic decomposition device 40 are set according to the setting. ) Is operated.

Reference numeral 18 is a terminal block, and 34 is a circuit board.

The sterilizer for water purifier using the photocatalytic decomposition configured as described above is converted into ozone gas while oxygen in the air supplied by the air supply pipe passes through the vacuum tube of the ozone generator, and then passes through the photocatalytic decomposition device 40 when the ozone is passed. As the decomposition of the gas is promoted, the sterilization efficiency is increased, and then the microorganisms of the storage tank are sprayed with fine particles while completely sterilizing the microorganisms in the reservoir.

As described above, the sterilizer for water purifiers using the photocatalyst decomposition apparatus according to the present invention is hygienic and water purifier, as the filter of the water purifier is replaced and the general sterilization is performed to completely sterilize the microorganisms remaining in the reservoir.
