Abstract

A rear cover assembly of an automatic transmission is provided to simplify a manufacturing process by using an oval-shaped sleeve being fixed on a rear cover. A rear cover assembly supports a driving shaft of an automatic transmission. The rear cover assembly includes a rear cover(201), an oval-shaped sleeve(203), and a sealing ring. A bearing(109) is arranged on the rear cover to rotatably support the driving shaft. The oval-shaped sleeve is fixed to the rear cover. The seal ring is arranged on the oval-shaped sleeve in order to prevent a leakage of oil that is used for an operation of the automatic transmission. A ratio between a long and a short diameter of the oval-shaped sleeve is 21:20. The oval-shaped sleeve is press-inserted into the rear cover.
