The present invention relates to a packet processing method in a mobile network, and more particularly, to a packet processing method of a mobile node in a MIPv6 network.
현재의 인터넷은 IPv4(Internet Protocol Version 4)를 기반으로 하고 있다. The current Internet is based on Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4). In IPv4, a source transmits a packet including a source address and a destination address to the internet in order to transmit the packet to a destination. The IP address used by IPv4 consists of 32 bits, allowing up to about 4 billion hosts to access the Internet. However, due to the use of special addresses, subnetting, and network address assignment, the number of hosts that can actually access the Internet is quite small. In addition, due to the generalization of the Internet and the increase of multimedia traffic, efforts have been made to access the Internet as well as computers, mobile terminals, and information appliances unlike the past. The number of information appliances such as mobile communication terminals, televisions, and refrigerators is very large, and there is a shortage of IPv4 addresses for connecting these devices to the Internet. Therefore, IPv6 technology has been proposed to solve the shortage of IP addresses and to improve the performance of the Internet by supplementing the inefficiency of IPv4.
IPv6 has a 128-bit addressing scheme. As a result, IP addresses are richer than in IPv4, which has a 32-bit addressing scheme. On the other hand, if the address scheme increases to 128 bits, the time required to find the appropriate route may increase by increasing the contents of the routing table, which is necessary for the router to determine the route. However, IPv6 addressing scheme has more layers than IPv4. Because of its structure, it takes less time to find an appropriate route from the routing table.
Since IPv6 has an improved function compared to IPv4, it can solve the performance problem of the Internet due to the rapid increase in Internet traffic and the universal use of multimedia traffic.
On the other hand, the IP address assigned to a host consists of a network identifier and a host identifier. The network identifier is information for uniquely indicating the network to which the host is connected, and the host identifier is information for uniquely identifying the host in the network. The host assigned the IP address creates a socket address using the IP address and the port number of the transport layer, and establishes a connection with other hosts using the socket address.
Therefore, once one host (first host) establishes a connection with another host (second host), the same IP address must remain static for that host while the connection is established.
However, when the first host, which is established to be connected to the second host, moves to another network, such as a mobile environment, the network identifier must be changed, so the IP address assigned to the first host must be changed. Changing the IP address means changing the socket address, so that all existing connections are released and the connection must be retried.
이와 같이 호스트가 망을 변경하여 인터넷에 접속하는 경우에 발생하는 연결 해제 문제를 해결하기 위해 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)에서는 모바일 IPv6(Mobile IPv6, 이하, 'MIPv6'라 칭함) 프로토콜을 제안하고 있다. In order to solve the problem of disconnection when the host changes the network to access the Internet, the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) proposes the Mobile IPv6 protocol (hereinafter, referred to as 'MIPv6'). . The MIPv6 protocol proposes a method for maintaining a previously established connection even when a mobile node (MN) changes and moves a network. That is, in the MIPv6 protocol, even if a mobile node connected to the Internet changes its connection point while establishing a connection with an arbitrary host (CN: Correspondent Node) on the Internet, It provides a mechanism to keep the connection intact.
Hereinafter, an address registration process and a packet transmission process of a mobile node in a general MIPv6 system will be described.
The MIPv6 system may include a mobile node (MN), at least one access router (AR), a home agent (HA) and a corresponding node (CN).
A mobile node is a terminal for receiving a user's Internet service, and an access router is a device for relaying packets to a mobile node. The home agent has a function of managing the address of the mobile node, and the corresponding node provides a multimedia service or the like to the mobile node as any host on the Internet.
Here, the access router providing Internet access service to the mobile node before the mobile node moves to the first router (PAR: Previous AR), and the access router providing Internet access service to the mobile node after the mobile node moves to the second router. This is defined as a router (NAR: New AR).
The mobile node of the MIPv6 network system is assigned the same home address as the static IP address of the home agent. In addition, the mobile node receives a first temporary address (PCoA) from a first router relaying Internet packets. The home agent receives the home address and the first temporary address from the mobile node and registers and manages the address of the mobile node by storing the home address and the first temporary address in a binding cache entry.
The corresponding node, which knows the home address of the mobile node, encapsulates data to be transmitted to the mobile node using the home address information of the mobile node. The encapsulated data is delivered to the mobile agent's home agent based on the home address information. The home agent encapsulates the data once again using the first temporary address of the mobile node stored in the binding cache entry and transmits the data to the mobile node.
If the mobile node moves and relays the Internet packet to the second router, the mobile node is assigned a second temporary address (NCoA: New CoA) from the second router, and the mobile node continues the Internet service. In order to be provided, a home address and a second temporary address must be registered (Binding Update).
In the MIPv6 protocol, when a mobile node moves to a new network, it takes time for the mobile node to know whether it has moved to the new network in order to enable Internet access service from the new network, and (2) one second from the new network. The time taken to construct the temporary address, and (3) the time required to register the second temporary address with the home agent or the corresponding node, is required, and this time is referred to as handover latency. During this time, all packets sent by the home agent or the correspondent node to the first router are lost. In other words, the longer the handover delay time, the greater the packet loss. In order to solve this problem, Hierarchical MIPv6 (HMIPv6) and Fast Handovers for MIPv6 (FMIPv6) have been proposed.
HMIPv6 introduces a Mobile Anchor Point (MAP) that acts as a home agent, so that the movement of mobile nodes within the same MAP area can be hidden in the home agent or corresponding node. As a result, traffic is reduced and handover latency can be reduced. FMIPv6 is a technique for performing the handover of the third layer before the second layer handover is completed based on the handover prediction information in the second layer in order to minimize the handover delay time. The operation of the HMIPv6 network and the FMIPv6 network will be described later.

Referring to FIG. 1A, when the

(S121).Referring to FIG. 1B, when the

(S126).When there is data to be transmitted from the corresponding
As described above, the optimization method is characterized in that the home address and the second temporary address of the
In the MIPv6 system described above, even if the
In order to prevent such packet loss, the
However, when the routing path transmitted to the
The present invention has been made to solve the problem that the out of order of the packets described above can not be effectively solved, the present invention uses a message to inform that all the packets passing through the first router in the mobile network by using the message The present invention provides a control apparatus and method for transmitting a packet so that the order is not out of order.
Packet processing method for a mobile node moving in a mobile network according to the present invention comprises the steps of performing a binding update to change the first temporary address to a second temporary address in accordance with the movement of the mobile node, the received of the first temporary address Processing a packet and buffering a packet of the second temporary address received; and processing a buffered packet when a transmission completion message of the packet using the first temporary address is received. In this case, the packet of the first temporary address is a packet generated before the packet of the second temporary address.

The
(S319).When the
(S320). Until the binding update message is sent to the
(S323).After transmitting the flush message, the
Regardless of the order in the

(S411). Receiving the router request proxy message, the
(S418). At this time, the
(S419). The
(S421).When the
Upon receiving the FNA message from the
The
The binding update process after that is the same as described in MIPv6. The HMIPv6 system includes a
In the HMIPv6 system, the
Hereinafter, the handover process when the
If the

(S611).When the
(S616).The first MAP 70-1 encapsulates the packet received from the corresponding
The
(S620). The
The first MAP 70-1 receiving the binding update message transmits the flush message to the first local temporary address (S621), and the second local temporary address and the local temporary address of the
The

Processes S630 to S637 illustrated in FIG. 6B are the same as processes S610 to S617 illustrated in FIG. 6A, and thus description thereof will be omitted.
The
The
(S640). The
The
(S645). After this process, the
Similarly, the

As illustrated in FIG. 7, the
The
The
The
The

(S830). When the
(S831). After transmitting the binding update message, the
The
(S833).The
As described above, when viewed from the upper layer of the

As shown in FIG. 9, the flush message includes an IPv6 header including a source address and a destination address, a payload protocol that teaches information included in the message; It may be composed of a mobility header including a MH type indicating the type of the message.
The source address is the address of the home agent or corresponding node. Since the flush message should be sent to the mobile node via the first router, it should have the value of the first temporary address as the value of the destination address. Since the flush message does not contain any other data, the Payload Proto value will be None.
MH Type의 값은 IANA(Internet Assigned Numbers Authority)에서 국제적 표준으로 규정한다. In this case, the MH Type has a value indicating a flush so that the mobile node knows that the message is a flush message. The value of MH Type is defined as an international standard by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). For example, IANA specifies that the binding update message has a value of 5 for the MH Type. The flush message according to the present invention is not yet a standardized message and therefore does not have a corresponding MH Type value. However, when the IANA determines the MH Type value according to the flush message defined in the present invention, the standardized value is used.
10 is a diagram illustrating a packet transmission and reception method in an FMIPv6 system according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention.
Processes S1010 to S1023 of FIG. 10 are the same as those of S410 to S423 of FIG. 4, and thus description thereof will be omitted.
The
The
In this case, the packet transmitted to the

As shown in FIG. 11, the
The
The
The
12 is a diagram illustrating the operation of a router according to an embodiment of the present invention.
(S1210). The
(S1211). The
(S1216).If the tunneled packet is not a flush message, the packet is transmitted to the mobile node 20 (S1214). If the tunneled packet is a flush message, the
