Claims (25)
- 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림이 재생되기 위하여 클라이언트로 스트리밍되는 스트리밍 서비스의 품질 궤환 방법에 있어서,- 품질 메트릭들의 선결된 집합으로부터의 적어도 하나의 품질 메트릭에 따라서 품질 궤환값을 결정하는 단계로서, 품질 메트릭의 상기 선결된 집합은:- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생 및- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내에 포함된 적어도 두 개의 타입의 프레임들 중 하나의 열화(corruption) 중 적어도 하나에 관련된 품질 메트릭을 포함하는 단계 및- 상기 품질 궤환값을 서버로 보고하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생에 관련된 상기 품질 메트릭은,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생의 재생 프레임 레이트의 소정의 선결값으로부터의 변이(deviation)에 관련되는 프레임-레이트-변이 메트릭(frame-rate-deviation metric)인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 프레임-레이트-변이 메트릭은,상기 변이의 듀레이션(듀레이션)에 더 관련되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생에 관련된 상기 품질 메트릭은,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생의 재생 시간 및 스케줄링된 재생 시간 간의 차이가 소정의 선결값보다 클라이언트 경우에 발생되는 지터 이벤트의 듀레이션에 관련되는 지터-듀레이션 메트릭(jitter-duration metric)인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생에 관련된 상기 품질 메트릭은,값 A 및 값 B 간의 절대 차이치(absolute difference)가 소정의 선결값보다 클라이언트 경우에 발생하는 동기화 손실 이벤트(synchronization loss event)에 관련되는 동기화-손실-듀레이션 메트릭이고, 상기 값 A는,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림들 중 제1 미디어 스트림의 최후 재생된 프레임의 재생 시간 및 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림들 중 제2 미디어 스트림의 최후 재생된 프레임의 재생 시간 간의 차이치이며, 상기 값 B는,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림들 중 상기 제1 미디어 스트림의 상기 최후 재생된 프레임의 스케줄링된 재생 시간 및 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림들 중 상기 제2 미디어 스트림의 상기 최후 재생된 프레임의 스케줄링된 재생 시간 간 의 차이치인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내에 포함되는 상기 적어도 두 개의 타입의 프레임들 중 하나는 장면 컷 프레임(scene cut frame)이고,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내에 포함되는 상기 적어도 두 개의 타입의 프레임들 중 하나의 열화에 관련되는 상기 품질 메트릭은, 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내의 열화된 장면 컷 프레임들의 개수에 관련되는 열화된-장면-컷-프레임들의-개수(number-of-corrupted-scene-cut-frames) 메트릭인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 품질 메트릭은 타임스탬프와 함께 보고되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 프레임-레이트-변이 메트릭은 타임스탬프와 함께 보고되고,상기 타임스탬프는 품질 보고 기간의 개시 시간에 대한 상기 변이 동안에 첫 번째로 재생되는 프레임의 재생 시간과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 지터-듀레이션 메트릭은 타임스탬프와 함께 보고되고,상기 타임스탬프는 품질 보고 기간의 개시 시간에 대한 상기 지터 이벤트 동안에 첫 번째로 재생되는 프레임의 재생 시간과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 동기화-손실-듀레이션 메트릭은 타임스탬프와 함께 보고되고,상기 타임스탬프는 품질 보고 기간의 개시 시간에 대한 상기 동기화 손실 이벤트 동안에 첫 번째로 재생되는 프레임의 재생 시간과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 재생 시간은 일반 재생 시간(Normal Play Time, NPT)인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,품질 메트릭들의 상기 선결된 집합은 열화의 듀레이션에 관련된 열화-듀레이션 메트릭을 포함하고,상기 열화-듀레이션 메트릭에 따라서 결정된 상기 품질 궤환값은, 상기 듀레이션이 소정의 선결값보다 클라이언트 경우에만 보고되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 스트리밍은 실시간 전송 프로토콜(Real-time Transport Protocol, RTP)에 기반하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스트리밍은,실시간 스트리밍 프로토콜(Real-time Streaming Protocol, RTSP)에 의하여 적어도 부분적으로 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 품질 궤환값은 상기 RTSP를 통하여 상기 서버로 보고되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 스트리밍 서비스는 3세대 이동 통신 시스템 내의 패킷-교환 스트리밍(Packet-switched Streaming Service, PSS)인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.

- 스트리밍 서비스용 클라이언트에 있어서, 상기 클라이언트는,- 재생을 위하여 상기 클라이언트로 스트리밍된 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림을 수신하기 위한 수단,- 품질 메트릭들의 선결된 집합으로부터의 적어도 하나의 품질 메트릭에 따라서 품질 궤환값을 결정하기 위한 수단으로서, 품질 메트릭의 상기 선결된 집합은:- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생 및- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내에 포함된 적어도 두 개의 타입의 프레임들 중 하나의 열화 중 적어도 하나에 관련된 품질 메트릭을 포함하는 수단; 및- 상기 품질 궤환값을 서버로 보고하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 클라이언트.
- 재생을 위하여 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림이 클라이언트로 스트리밍되는 스트리밍 서비스용 서버에 있어서,품질 메트릭들의 선결된 집합으로부터의 적어도 하나의 품질 메트릭에 따라서 품질 궤환값이 결정되며,품질 메트릭의 상기 선결된 집합은:- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생 및- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내에 포함된 적어도 두 개의 타입의 프레임들 중 하나의 열화 중 적어도 하나에 관련된 품질 메트릭을 포함하고, 상기 서버는,- 상기 클라이언트로부터 상기 서버로 보고된 상기 품질 궤환값을 수신하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 서버.
- 재생을 위하여 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림이 클라이언트로 스트리밍되는 스트리밍 서비스에서 사용되기 위한 프로토콜에 있어서, 상기 프로토콜은,- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림의 상기 재생 및- 상기 적어도 하나의 미디어 스트림 내에 포함된 적어도 두 개의 타입의 프레임들 중 하나의 열화 중 적어도 하나에 관련된 품질 메트릭을 정의하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프로토콜.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 프로토콜은,세션 기술 프로토콜(Session Description Protocol, SDP)과 조합되는 RTSP인 것을 특징으로 하는 프로토콜.
