Abstract

A structure for installing a catch basin in a slab of a bridge is provided to restrict foreign matters such as concrete from being infiltrated in the catch basin by closing an upper part of the catch basin with an upper cover and a lower part of a lower cap with a lower cover in pouring concrete on a slab of a bridge. A catch basin(50) is installed in a slab(60) of a bridge, made of stainless steel, and placed to be lower than the slab of the bridge. An upper part of the catch basin is contacted to an upper part of the slab of the bridge, and a lower part of the catch basin is covered by a lower hollow cap(55). A fitting part is protruded inward in an upper part of the lower cap, and fitted to the catch basin. A lower part of the lower cap is contacted to the lower part of the slab of the bridge, and a mesh(72) is formed in the upper part of the catch basin to filtrate foreign matters. A groove part is formed in the lower part of the catch basin, combined with a drain pipe(80) and composed of a vertical groove and a bent groove bent from an upper part of the vertical groove.
