Abstract

A multiplex HEPA filter which obtains an inherent dust collecting effect of the HEPA filter and a deodorizing effect due to the activated carbon particles at the same time by embedding activated carbon particles in a HEPA filter itself, and improves dust collecting efficiency by increasing thickness of the HEPA filter to the utmost is provided. As a filter having both dust collecting function and deodorizing function, a multiplex HEPA filter(30) comprises a HEPA filter of which both surfaces are bent in a zigzag shape to form a space part(32) in rear of the backside of the HEPA filter, and activated carbon particles(33) with deodorizing function filled in the space part. The multiplex HEPA filter is manufactured by bending a HEPA filter paper(31) in such a structure that both surfaces of the HEPA filter paper are bent in a zigzag shape, and embedding the bent HEPA filter into a frame(34).
