BACKGROUND OF THE
In organic electroluminescence, electrons and holes injected through a cathode and an anode are recombined to form an exciton in an organic (low molecular or polymer) thin film, and light of a specific wavelength is generated by energy from the excitons formed. This is a phenomenon that occurs. Referring to the structure and manufacturing steps of the organic EL device using this phenomenon as follows.
1 is a plan view of an organic electroluminescent element, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the organic electroluminescent element taken along the line A-A of FIG.
The organic electroluminescent element includes an
The
Each step of manufacturing the organic EL device having the structure as described above will be described briefly with reference to the drawings.
First, a plurality of
In the manufacturing process of an organic electroluminescent element, a mask is used at the process of forming an organic electroluminescent layer on each defined active area | region on the glass substrate of a predetermined area.
3 is a plan view of a general mask used in the manufacturing process of the organic electroluminescent device.
In the
Prior to introducing the
A gripper (not shown) fixes (welds) the
4 is a plan view of a mask frame to which the mask shown in FIG. 3 is fixed, FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line B-B of FIG. 4, and FIG.
The
As shown in FIG. 4, when the
After the
When the deposition process is performed for a predetermined time using the
In this cleaning process, since the mounting
As such, if the drying process is performed while the cleaning solution containing the organic material is present in the space between the bottom surface of the
Since the deposition process is performed in a state where the mask and the glass substrate are closely located, the bent portion (uneven portion) formed on the surface of the
An object of the present invention is to solve the above-described problems occurring in the cleaning process of a mask, and to provide a mask frame having a structure capable of completely discharging the cleaning liquid to the outside during the cleaning process using the cleaning liquid.
In the mask frame according to the present invention, an opening portion is formed in a central portion, a placement portion at which an outer portion of the mask is fixed is formed at an outer portion of the opening portion, and a plurality of grooves are formed at the placement portion connecting the opening portion and the external space. In addition, the grooves are formed in the mounting portion on one side and the mounting portion on the other side adjacent thereto.
Hereinafter, a structure of a mask frame according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
6 is a plan view of the mask frame according to the present invention, FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line CC of FIG. 6, and in FIG. 7, the
The
The biggest feature of the
When the
After the deposition process is performed for a predetermined time using the
After the cleaning process, when the
As a result, the cleaning liquid containing the organic material does not flow into the space between the bottom surface of the
Meanwhile, in the above description, a state in which the
In general, the glass substrate used to manufacture the organic electroluminescent device has a rectangular shape, and thus the mask and the mask frame are also rectangular as shown in FIGS. 3, 4 and 6.
Therefore, when the
That is, after the cleaning process, the
In the mask frame according to the present invention as described above, after the cleaning process, the remaining cleaning liquid (containing the organic material) may be discharged to the outside through the groove by tilting the mask frame such that the mounting portion having the grooves is directed downward. Therefore, the organic material may not exist in the space between the mask and the frame, thereby obtaining an effect of preventing deformation of the mask by the organic material after the drying process.
