메모리 카드 컨텐트의 전송을 위한 어댑터 및 방법{ADAPTER AND METHOD FOR WIRELESS TRANSFER OF MEMORY CARD CONTENTS}
휴대용 CE(Consumer Electronic) 디바이스 시장은 지속적으로 확장되고 있다. 특히, 오디오 및 비디오 장비 분야에서 현저한 급성장이 주목된다. 디지털 사진 분야도 여기서 언급할 수 있는 분야 중 하나이다. 한 때, 단지 전문 사진가의 독점적인 장비였던 디지털 카메라는 모든 수준의 사진에서 모습을 나타내고 있다. 디지털 카메라를 자신만의 것이라고 부를 수 있는 사람은 없다. 디지털 카메라의 중요한 이점은 필름이 필요 없다는 것이다. 사진들은 교체가능한 메모리 카드상에 디지털 데이터의 형태로 저장된다. 그 후, 저장된 데이터는 보기 위해서 또는 추가적인 처리를 위하여 컴퓨터로 다운로드 된다. 또한, TV 수상기용 또는 모니터용의 전용 케이블을 통하여 카메라를 접속하여, 그 결과, 사진을 거기서 볼 수도 있다. 이러한 과정들은, 한편으로는, 케이블 접속이 종종 복잡하기 때문에, 또 다른 한편으로는 그 케이블의 길이가 제한되어 카메라 및 그 사용자들이 모니터 또는 텔레비전 수상기의 인접한 부근에 머물러야 하기 때문에, 매우 값비싼 것으로 판명되었다.

예시적인 실시예에서 선택된 어댑터(1)는 본질적으로 입방형(cuboidal) 구조이다. 콤팩트 플래시(CF) 카드를 위한 슬롯(2)이 어댑터의 일 측면(traverse side)상에 배치된다. 반대 측면상에는 어댑터가 CF 카드의 접촉부와 일치하는 접촉부(3)을 가진다.

  4. 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
    상기 송신 유닛(4)은 지그비(ZigBee) 표준에 따르는 것을 특징으로 하는 어댑터.
  5. 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
    상기 송신 유닛(4)은 IEEE 802.11(WLAN) 표준에 따르는 것을 특징으로 하는 어댑터.
  6. 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 소켓(2)은 여러가지 형태의 메모리 카드를 위한 멀티카드(multicard) 슬롯의 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 어댑터.
  7. 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 어댑터는 제어기(6)를 포함하되, 상기 제어기(6)는 상기 접촉부(3)를 통하여 제어가능하며, 상기 제어기(6)를 통하여 상기 송신 유닛(4)이 ON 및 OFF로 스위칭되는 것을 특징으로 하는 어댑터.
  8. 제 7 항에 있어서,
    상기 송신 유닛(4)의 송신 채널은 상기 제어기(6)를 통하여 조정가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 어댑터.
  9. 탈부착이 가능한(removable) 메모리 모듈(72)을 가지는 휴대용 디바이스(7)로부터 플레이백(playback) 장치(9)로의 비디오 및/또는 오디오 신호의 전송방법으로서,
    메모리 모듈(72)과 상기 휴대용 디바이스(7) 사이의 데이터 흐름을 그에 영향을 미치지 않고 또한 무선으로 상기 플레이백 장치(9)와 접속된 수신기(8)로 전송하는 어댑터(1)가 상기 메모리 모듈(72)과 상기 휴대용 디바이스(7)의 모듈 슬롯(71) 사이에 배치되는 전송방법.
  10. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 휴대용 디바이스(7)는 디지털 사진 카메라이며, 상기 탈부착이 가능한 메모리 모듈(72)은 콤팩트 플래시(compact flash)(CF) 카드이며, 상기 플레이백 장치(9)는 TV 수상기인 것을 특징으로 하는 전송방법.
  11. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 휴대용 디바이스(7)는 디지털 오디오 장치이며, 상기 탈부착이 가능한 메모리 모듈(72)은 콤팩트 플래시(compact flash)(CF) 카드 또는 보안(secure) 디지털 (메모리)(SD) 카드이며, 상기 플레이백 장치(9)는 오디오 앰프인 것을 특징으로 하는 전송방법.
  12. 제 9 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 수신기(8)는 데이터 수신시에 플레이백을 위하여 요구되는 운용 상태로 자동으로 스위칭되는 방식으로 플레이백 장치(9)와 접속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송방법.
  13. 제 9 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 수신기(8)는 규정된 기간 중에 전송 신호가 없을 경우에 저 소비 모드로 자동으로 스위칭되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송방법.
  14. 제 9 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 데이터 전송은 블루투스 표준 또는 지그비 표준 또는 IEEE 802.11(WLAN) 표준에 따르도록 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송방법.
