Claims (6)
- 건물내 구축된 무선 네트워크망을 통해 데이터를 송수신하고, 동영상 데이터의 재생시 사용자가 수용할 수 있는 화질감쇠레벨이 설정되는 하나 이상의 클라이언트 기기와;상기 클라이언트 기기의 요청에 따라 외부 매체로부터 수신한 동영상 데이터를 현재 무선 네트워크망의 전송가능 대역폭 및 상기 화질감쇠레벨에 따라 가변적으로 제어되는 압축률로 압축한 후 이를 상기 클라이언트 기기로 무선 전송하는 서버 기기를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크망을 통해 통신하는 서버 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 클라이언트 기기는 상기 서버 기기가 무선 전송하는 동영상 데이터를 수신하는 동시에 현재 수신대역폭을 포함하는 수신상태정보를 생성하는 네트워크 수신부와; 상기 네트워크 수신부에서 수신된 동영상 데이터의 역압축을 위하여 MPEG디코딩을 수행하는 MPEG 디코더와; 상기 MPEG 디코더에서 역압축된 데이터를 디스플레이하는 화면표시부와; 상기 네트워크 수신부에서 생성된 수신상태정보를 상기 서버 기기로 피드백하는 수신정보 피드백부를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크망을 통해 통신하는 서버 시스템.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 서버 기기는 케이블 안테나 또는 인터넷망을 통해 전송되는 동영상 데이터 스트림(stream)을 수신하여 이를 저장하는 AV 저장부와; 상기 AV 저장부에서 저장된 동영상 데이터를 소정의 압축률로 압축하는 MPEG 인코더와; 상기 MPEG 인코더에서 압축된 동영상 데이터를 상기 클라이언트 기기로 무선 송신하는 동시에, 현재 송신대역폭을 포함하는 송신상태정보를 생성하는 네트워크 송신부와; 상기 네트워크 송신부에서 생성된 송신상태정보 및 상기 클라이언트 기기에서 전송된 수신상태정보를 근거로 전송가능 대역폭을 산정하고, 산정된 전송가능 대역폭 및 상기 클라이언트 기기에서 설정된 화질감쇠레벨에 따라 상기 MPEG 인코더의 압축률을 가변 제어하는 압축률 제어부를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크망을 통해 통신하는 서버 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 무선 네트워크망은 무선 LAN망이 이용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크망을 통해 통신하는 서버 시스템.
- 무선 네트워크망을 통해 데이터를 송수신하는 하나 이상의 클라이언트 기기와, 상기 클라이언트 기기의 요청에 따라 동영상 데이터를 소정의 압축률로 압축한 후 이를 상기 클라이언트 기기로 무선 전송하는 서버 기기를 포함하여 구성되는 서버 시스템에 있어서,상기 서버기기는 외부 매체를 통해 전송된 동영상 데이터를 소정의 압축률로 압축하는 제 1 단계와; 상기 압축된 동영상 데이터를 상기 클라이언트 기기로 무선 송신하는 동시에 송신대역폭을 포함하는 송신시 네트워크상태정보를 생성하는 제 2 단계와; 상기 제 2 단계에서 생성된 송신시 네트워크상태정보 및 상기 클라이언트 기기로부터 수신한 수신시 네트워크상태정보를 근거로 현재 네트워크망의 전송가능 대역폭을 판단하는 제 3 단계와; 상기 전송가능 대역폭 및 상기 클라이언트 기기의 사용자가 수용할 수 있는 화질감쇠레벨에 따라 상기 동영상 데이터의 압축률을 가변 제어하는 제 4 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크망을 통해 통신하는 서버 시스템의 동작방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 클라이언트 기기는 동영상 데이터의 재생을 요청하는 제어신호 및 사용자가 수용할 수 있는 화질감쇠정도가 입력된 화질감쇠레벨이 상기 서버 기기로 무선 전송하는 제 1 단계와; 상기 서버 기기로부터 동영상 데이터를 수신하는 동시에, 수신대역폭을 포함하는 수신시 네트워크상태정보를 생성하여 이를 상기 서버 기기로 피드백하는 제 2 단계와; 상기 수신된 동영상 데이터를 역압축하는 제 3 단계와; 상기 역압축된 동영상 데이터를 재생시키는 제 4 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 네트워크망을 통해 통신하는 서버 시스템의 동작방법.
