Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a dryer, and more particularly, to a dryer having a belt loosening detection function and a control method thereof for detecting whether the belt is loosened by a pulse generated according to the number of times the laundry put into the dryer contacts the humidity detecting unit. will be.
In general, a clothes dryer is a device for automatically drying wet clothes after washing, and the demand for them is increasing in recent years.
Hereinafter, a configuration of a general dryer with reference to the accompanying drawings as follows.
1 is a side view showing the configuration of a general dryer.
1, the drum 2 is rotatably installed in the case 1, and the front of the case 1 is provided with an inlet 3 to inject clothes into the drum 2. As shown in FIG. ) Is coupled to the inlet (3), the door (4) is coupled to open / close.
In addition, a motor 5 is installed in the upper part of the case 1 so that the drum 2 rotates by receiving the driving force of the motor 5 through the drum belt 6 during the dryer operation. In addition, the inner wall surface of the drum 2 is provided with a plurality of wings 7 which serve to mix clothes during rotation of the drum 2.
On the other hand, the circulation duct 8 for circulating the heated air is connected between the rear of the drum (2) and the inlet (3) of the drum. Of course, a heater 11 for heating air and a fan 9 for generating a flow for circulating the heated air are provided at a predetermined position of the circulation duct 8. The fan 9 is rotated by receiving the driving force of the motor 5 through the fan belt 10.
In addition, at a predetermined position of the circulation duct 8, an outside air supply duct 12 for supplying a predetermined amount of external air at the time of circulation of the air, and a condensate discharge duct for discharging condensate generated during circulation of the air to the outside ( 13) are respectively connected.
Referring to the operation of the general dryer configured as described above are as follows.
The user opens the door 4, puts clothes to be dried into the drum 2, and then closes the door 4. When the dryer is operated in this state, the motor 5 is driven to rotate the drum 2. At this time, the clothing in the drum 2 is moved upward by the wing 7 formed on the inner surface of the drum 2, and then falls down by the own weight and is mixed.
On the other hand, since the rotational force of the motor 5 is transmitted not only to the drum 2 but also to the fan 9, air is circulated in the circulation duct 8, and the air circulated is heated by the heater 11. Therefore, the heated air supplied to the drum evaporates the moisture of the clothes of the drum 2, so that the clothes are dried.
As described above, since the fan 9 continues to operate when the clothes are dried while the air is circulated, external air is supplied to the air circulation duct 8 through the external air supply duct 12 connected to the outside.
Therefore, the circulating air and the supplied external air are circulated while being mixed, and the moisture in the air circulated along the circulation duct 8 is condensed and discharged to the outside of the dryer through the condensate discharge duct 13.
That is, a switch (not shown) is mechanically connected to the shaft of the motor (5). At this time, the switch (not shown) is turned on and is normally driven. When the belt is broken, the switch (not shown) is mechanically turned off and the motor is And the heater is mechanically broken.
If there is no loosening detection of the belt 10, if the heater 11 continues to be driven at the same position while the barrel is stopped when the belt 10 is broken, a safety problem that the cloth in the drum 2 burns due to high temperature Is generated, it is necessary to mount the switch (not shown) to detect the belt loosening.
However, since the switch (not shown) is a structure that detects mechanically, there is a problem that the unit cost is high and failure, noise, and lifespan are reduced due to wear and foreign matter.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, by detecting the number of pulses generated according to the number of times the laundry in the drum is in contact with the humidity sensing unit to determine whether the belt is loosened and can control the driving of the motor and heater accordingly. It is an object of the present invention to provide a dryer having a belt loosening detection function and a control method thereof.
Dryer according to the present invention for achieving the above object in the dryer having a belt, a motor and a heater, the humidity sensing unit for outputting different voltage values depending on whether the laundry cloth in the drum, and the humidity sensing unit A pulse detector for detecting a pulse according to the output voltage value, a microcomputer for detecting whether the belt is loosened according to the pulse output from the pulse detector, and outputting a corresponding control signal, and the motor according to the control signal of the microcomputer And a load driver for controlling driving of the heater.
Preferably, the microcomputer determines that the belt is normally connected when a high / low signal is repeatedly input from the pulse detector.
More preferably, the microcomputer determines that the belt is in a loose state when a high signal is continuously input from the pulse detector.
The control method of the dryer having a belt loosening detection function according to the present invention for achieving the above object is a control method of a dryer having a humidity sensing unit, a belt, a motor and a heater, when a user inputs a power-on and operation command Performing a drying stroke, detecting whether the belt is loosened according to a detection result of the humidity sensing unit during the drying stroke, and controlling operations of the motor and the heater according to whether the belt is loosened; It is characterized by the fact that it is made.
Preferably, the step of detecting whether the belt is loosened may include determining that the belt is normally connected when a high / low signal is repeatedly input as a result of the sensing of the humidity sensing unit, and a sensing result of the sensing unit of the humidity sensing unit. When the high signal is continuously input, the belt is detected as being unwound.
More preferably, the method further comprises stopping the driving of the motor and the heater when the belt is loosened.
Hereinafter, a dryer having a belt loosening detection function and a control method thereof according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 2 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the dryer having a belt loosening detection function according to the present invention, Figure 3 is a waveform diagram showing a pulse waveform input to the microcomputer according to the detection result of the humidity sensor shown in Figure 2, 4 is a flowchart illustrating a control method of the dryer having a belt loosening detection function according to the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 2, the dryer having a belt unwinding detection function according to the present invention includes a humidity sensing unit 200 and a humidity sensing unit 200 that output different voltage values according to whether the laundry cloth in the drum is in contact with the humidity sensing unit 200. Pulse detection unit 300 for detecting a pulse in accordance with the voltage value output from the) and the microcomputer 400 for detecting whether the belt is released according to the pulse output from the pulse detection unit 300 and outputs a corresponding control signal; The load driver 500 controls the driving of the motor 600 and the heater 700 according to the control signal of the microcomputer 400, and the power supply unit 100 supplying power to the microcomputer 400.
Referring to the operation of the dryer having a belt loosening detection function according to the invention configured as described above are as follows.
First, when a drying stroke is started, laundry introduced into the drum contacts the humidity sensing unit 200 while the drum rotates. In this case, when the laundry contacts the humidity detecting unit 200, a voltage is generated, and the pulse detecting unit 300 generates a pulse corresponding to the voltage generated by the humidity detecting unit 200.
That is, when the belt is normal, the resistance value inside the humidity detection unit 200 is changed whenever the laundry cloth contacts the humidity detection unit 200. Accordingly, the voltage value according to the resistance distribution is changed according to the pulse detection unit ( 300 is input to the pulse detection unit 300 outputs a high (High) signal to the microcomputer 400, when the laundry cloth falls from the humidity detection unit 200, since no voltage is generated, the pulse detection unit 300 In this case, a low signal is output to the microcomputer 400.
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3A output from the pulse detector 300, a pulse-shaped signal is output to the microcomputer 400 according to a repetitive output of a high / low signal. Is approved.
On the other hand, when the belt is loosened and does not operate normally, only the motor 600 rotates, and the drum does not rotate. Therefore, when the drum does not rotate, the humidity detecting unit 200 may detect the movement of the fabric. Therefore, the pulse detector 300 outputs only a high signal to the microcomputer 400 as shown in FIG.
Accordingly, the microcomputer 400 is in a state of loosening or unwinding depending on whether a high / low pulse type is input from the pulse detector 300 or whether a high signal is continuously input. It can be determined whether or not.
(S101 ∼ S102).Referring to Figure 4 of the control method of the dryer having a belt loosening detection function according to the present invention, first, it is determined whether the user inputs a power-on command, the operation start command (S101 ~ S102).
(S103).Subsequently, when the user inputs an operation start command (S102), the user determines whether a high / low signal is alternately input to a detection value detected from the humidity sensor while performing a drying operation. (S103).
(S104).As a result of the determination (S103), when the high / low signal is alternately input to the detection value detected from the humidity detecting unit, it is determined that the belt is normally connected, and the drying operation is continued (S104). ).
(S105).And stops when the drying administration is completed (S105).
(S106).On the other hand, the determination result (S103), it is determined whether the high value is continuously input to the detection value detected from the humidity sensor (S106).
(S107).As a result of the determination (S106), when the detection value detected from the humidity sensor is continuously input a high signal, the belt is determined to be in a loose state and the driving of the motor and the heater is stopped (S107).
As described above, a dryer having a belt loosening detection function and a control method thereof according to the present invention automatically detect a belt loosening by sensing a humidity sensing unit and recognize the same by a microcomputer to control driving of a motor and a heater.
As described above, the dryer according to the present invention has the following effects.
First, as the drum rotates, it is possible to detect whether the belt is loosened by using a pulse generated according to whether the laundry cloth in the drum contacts the humidity sensing unit.
Second, the manufacturing cost can be lowered by not separately mounting the same as the conventionally mounted switch.
Third, unlike the conventionally sensed mechanically, by using the humidity sensing circuit it is possible to prevent the occurrence of failure and noise in advance can extend the life.
