Abstract

PURPOSE: A gasket is provided to prevent generation of leakage at connection portions when a GRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Pipe) is used under high pressure. CONSTITUTION: A gasket for a GRP comprises a frame(42) and a rubber packing(41). The frame is formed by a material having a large intensity to endure the compression force when tightened by a combining means. The rubber packing is combined with the frame and formed by a material to be more easily transformed than the frame. The rubber packing shields the frame from the inside to the outside of the frame. Thereby, the leakage from a connection portion in the GRP is effectively isolated by supporting the combination force of a bolt to be concentrated in the flange through the frame and sealing the both sides of the frame through the rubber packing.
