Claims (7)
- 페이지 너비(page width)의 잉크젯 프린트헤드(ink jet print head)용 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리(assembly)에 있어서,집적 회로 제작 기술(integrated circuit fabrication technique)에 의하여 제작되는 적어도 하나의 긴 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩(chip)과;이에 대응하며, 한 쌍의 대향하는 측벽이 구비된 긴 리세스(recess)가 형성되어 있는 적어도 하나의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어(carrier)로서, 상기 또는 각각의 프린트헤드 칩은, 각각의 리세스 중 하나에 수용되고, 상기 또는 각각의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩과 상기 각각의 리세스는, 상기 또는 각각의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩과 각각의 측벽 사이에 간극이 형성되도록 치수설계되는, 적어도 하나의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어와;각각의 간극을 채우고, 상기 또는 각각의 프린트헤드 칩이 상기 각각의 리세스에 위치되는 것을 유지하기 위하여, 각각의 간극에 위치되는 탄력적으로 변형가능한 물질(resiliently deformable material)로서, 상기 프린트헤드 어셈블리의 정상적인 취급중에, 최소한 하나의 프린트헤드 칩과 최소한 하나의 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어의 상대적인 움직임을 조절하기 위하여 선택되는, 탄력적으로 변형가능한 물질을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리는, 상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어의 긴 리세스에 위치하는 다수의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩을 포함하고, 상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어는, 상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩에 대응하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어는, 잉크 분배 매니폴드(ink distribution manifold)에 장착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리는, 다수의 모듈(module)을 포함하고, 각각의 모듈은, 하나의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어와 상기 캐리어에 장착된 하나의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩과 상기 모듈이 장착되는 지지구조(retaining structure)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 탄력적으로 변형가능한 물질은, 엘라스토머 물질(elastomeric material)인 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 엘라스토머 물질은, 실리콘 베이스의 물질(silicon based material)의 형태를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드 어셈블리.
- 집적 회로 제작 기술에 의하여 제작되는 적어도 하나의 긴 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩과, 이에 대응하며, 한 쌍의 대향하는 측벽이 구비된 긴 리세스가 형성되어 있는 적어도 하나의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어로서, 상기 또는 각각의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩과 상기 각각의 리세스는, 상기 또는 각각의 프린트헤드 칩의 폭이 상기 각각의 리세스의 폭보다 미리 정해진 양만큼 작게 되도록 치수설계되는, 적어도 하나의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어를 구비하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드의 어셈블링(assembling) 방법에 있어서,상기 한 쌍의 대향하는 측벽과 상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩에 의하여, 상기 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩의 각각의 측부에 간극이 형성되도록, 상기 또는 각각의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩을 상기 각각의 캐리어에 위치시키는 단계와;상기 또는 각각의 잉크젯 프린트헤드 칩을 상기 각각의 리세스에 고정시키기 위하여, 탄성적으로 변형가능한 물질(elastically deformable material)로 경화(cure)되는 접착제(adhesive) 그룹으로부터 선택되는 접착제로 각각의 간극을 채우는 단계로서, 정상적인 취급중에 상기 탄성적으로 변형가능한 물질이 상기 또는 각각의 프린트헤드 칩과 상기 또는 각각의 프린트헤드 칩 캐리어의 상대적인 움직임을 조절할 수 있도록, 상기 접착제가 선택되어지는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드의 어셈블링 방법.
