Abstract

PURPOSE: A multi-core type plastic optical fiber cable is provided to enhance an emitting effect of a sidelight fiber by stranding a plastic optical fiber and jacketing transparent PVC thereon. CONSTITUTION: A multi-core type plastic optical fiber cable includes a central tube, a plastic optical fiber, and a jacket. The central tube is formed in a center part of the multi-core type plastic optical fiber cable. The central tube is formed with a PBTP tube or a transparent PVC tube. The multi-core type plastic optical fiber cable is formed by performing the first stranding process and the second stranding process using the plastic optical fiber. A transparent PVC jacket is formed around an outer surface of the multi-core type plastic optical fiber cable.
