Abstract

PURPOSE: A Korean mandolin is provided to allow a user to easily play the Korean mandolin, to improve strength of a sound box and to expand a life span of the Korean mandolin by preventing the Korean mandolin from being deformed. CONSTITUTION: A Korean mandolin includes a sound box(2), a sound plate(3), a string section(4), a string tension adjusting device(5), and a string supporter(6). The sound box(2) is made of material having superior strength so as to improve acoustic characteristic of the sound box(2). The sound box(2) is provided at an inner portion of a front section(8) thereof with an L-shaped step section. The sound plate(3) is bonded to the sound box(2) in such a manner that a surface of the sound plate(3) is formed on the same plane with the front section(8) of the sound box.
