Abstract
Description
The present invention describes a method for improving the reliability of the digital image storage device.
Until now, video storage equipment basically consists of a camera, a display and a storage device. The traditional type of equipment is a simple CCTV method, which is mainly used for surveillance on the screen. Recently, a method of storing the video tape method has been shown, followed by a method of compressing an image and storing it on a computer hard disk. A video recorder (aka DVR) showed up.
These video surveillance systems can be considered as highly advanced technologies for basic surveillance, storage, and remote video transmission using the Internet. However, these systems are able to perform basic operations with perfect external conditions, but they are not prepared to respond appropriately to drastic changes in the external environment.
There are many changes in the external environment. For example, disconnection of input power. Most systems will use UPS (Uninterruptale Power Supply), but the question is whether these power supplies can operate indefinitely. In most cases, depending on the capacity of the battery in the uninterruptible power supply, it becomes useless after additional operation in tens of minutes or hours (mostly predictable). Cost consideration should be given to using additional equipment such as auxiliary generators. Another aspect is breakage of equipment. If a thief or a robber enters a bank, they know that they are being monitored by various cameras unless they are stupid. Therefore, in actual situations, in many cases, the camera or the like is damaged or additionally penetrated into the surveillance control room, thereby robbing related hard disks or video tapes. Of course, before it penetrates, it damages the internet network to the outside and takes measures such as cutting (the internet itself is also less reliable in speed and operation itself). This makes the video storage device useless.
The technical problem to be achieved by the present invention is as follows.
(A) Establish a system structure that can keep the video and audio information for a long time even in the event of power failure, damage to the storage device or loss of storage.
(B) Development of miniature video and audio memories for subparagraph (a).
(C) Improving the operation of the microscopic image storage device of paragraph (b) to increase the likelihood of the system maintaining image information.
1 is a configuration diagram of a new system for improving the reliability of the digital image storage system
2 is m_DVR configuration diagram
The configuration and operation of the present invention for achieving the above technical problem is as follows.
Ideas for the technical task of paragraph (a)
Refer to Figure 1 for the configuration of the system: conventional cameras ⇒ storage and surveillance (display) ⇒ surveillance and transmission via the Internet, cameras ⇒ ultra-compact video / audio recorders ⇒ storage and surveillance (display) ⇒ surveillance and Improve with transmission. Miniature video recording devices intercept power and video / audio signals connected to cameras in existing systems. In other words, the existing system is located between the camera and the existing DVR without requiring any change. Ultra-small video storage devices can be installed in all cameras to provide additional storage of video and audio information, and to make it more accessible and dramatically improve information retention.
(ㄴ)항의 기술적 과제를 위한 아이디어Ideas for the technical task of paragraph (b);
(A) The micro-digital video recorder (abbreviated as m-DVR) included in the system structure is a small video / audio storage system utilizing semiconductor memory devices. The m-DVR system is largely divided into an event monitor (detection of power failure, alarm, infrared sensor, buzzer, etc.), power supply (power converters (AC-DC and DC-DC), battery, battery charge controller), video / audio input, It consists of a system controller (microcomputer), memory area, etc. (see Figure 2). The event monitor generates a digital pulse. Once any type of event occurs, the system switches to a semi permanent picture recording mode. Normally it is supplied to the camera and m-DVR from the outside. When a power failure occurs, the camera and the m-DVR operate by utilizing a rechargeable battery (possibly rechargeable) in the m-DVR system. The video is intercepted in the middle of the camera to the DVR, and the audio is equipped with a separate microphone and a digital converter. The overall management of the system is the responsibility of the microcomputer. It is responsible for the operation mode of the system, input / output management of image information, various timing management, and password authentication management for later image output. As the video memory device, although a volatile device, a large dynamic random access memory (DRAM) or a flash memory device having a large capacity and a nonvolatile flash can be used. Depending on the purpose of the system, DRAM can be used to save video information for a few days while the battery is running (because the price is low), and Flash memory is used for the longer term storage of video.
An idea of the technical task of paragraph (c)
In order to implement paragraph (c), the newly added miniature video / audio storage device is installed at the same time or slightly away from the surveillance camera, one for each camera to intercept information from a particular camera. .
This tiny video / audio storage device does not seem to exist in the system at all times. However, since the problem is approached after the occurrence of the problem, in many cases the exposure to the outside is less likely to increase the possibility of maintaining the image information.
This compact video / audio storage device has the function of detecting the occurrence of an event (alarm, emergency bell, infrared detection, power outage, etc.), so that all video / audio information can be stored within the limit of memory capacity from a certain time before the event (event). It will contain and maintain it.
Unlike other systems, this miniature video / audio storage is not easily accessible to the general public, employees, and system administrators. For example, centrally manage system passwords, which means they are more inaccessible to external intruders, further enhancing the system's ability to maintain information storage.
The specific operation adjustment of this micro video / audio storage device and the automation for accessing the stored video / audio information are limited as much as possible (e.g. erasing the video / audio information using an operation mode using RS-232C, etc.). Functions such as importing memorized video information, etc., should not be easily accessible to people with bad objectives, except where possible. , Tear down the ceiling, drill the walls, etc., to access this tiny storage device.
Such a systemic complement of video surveillance and recording equipment can more firmly maintain the possibility of surveillance and evidence retention of the system in situations such as in the case of a thief invasion.
As described above, when the structure of the DVR system as a security surveillance device is improved, and an additional video / audio memory device (m-DVR) is installed in each camera, the reliability of the image acquisition and maintenance function is greatly improved. Will be achieved. Therefore, the information obtained by utilizing the structure of the image storage system is expected to be very helpful in maintaining and securing various evidences in many applications.
