Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for increasing vitamin D2 in a fruit body of a mushroom is provided, thereby increasing the amount of vitamin D2 in the fruit body of a mushroom 2-1000 times and consequently producing high quality of a mushroom. CONSTITUTION: The method for increasing vitamin D2 in a fruit body of a mushroom is characterized by irradiating ultraviolet rays to a mushroom after harvest or during cultivation, wherein the ultraviolet rays are irradiated 20cm far from the mushroom for 30 seconds, and the mushroom is selected from shiitake mushroom, Flammulina Velutipes Sinh, Agaricus bisporos and Oyster mushroom.
