Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a solid fuel using paper mill sludge is provided to increase industrial utilization rate of wastes by crushing the carbonized sludge into a sawdust shape after carbonizing the surface of sludge of the paper mill sorted and dried so that the sawdust shaped sludge can be industrially utilized as a solid fuel. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing a solid fuel using paper mill sludge comprises raw material preparation step(1) of preparing raw material by pressing the sludge discharged from the paper mill to a certain size so that the sludge is formed in a lump having moisture content of 15 to 20%; sorting step(2) of sorting the dismantled sludge to remove foreign materials after transporting the lump to a works and dismantling the lump; drying step(3) of injecting the sorted sludge into a dryer to remove water content; carbonization step(4) of injecting the dried sludge into a rotary carbonizer which supplies hot air of 280 to 300 deg.C to a supply pipe so that the surface of the sludge is carbonized by rotating the carbonizer; crushing step(5) of crushing the carbonized sludge in a sawdust shape using a crusher; and packing step(6) of packing the crushed sludge as a solid fuel.
