Unlike what is taught in this prior art, the present invention uses starch to increase the viscosity of the material and improve adhesion. Further, by adding octenyl succinic acid or the like, which acts as an emulsifier, to starch, the mixing properties between the components forming the crude material were significantly increased.

Sculpting material comprising starch as proposed in the present invention is not known at all by the prior art, but also provides an effect that cannot be achieved by the prior art.

In addition, the material of the present invention may be manufactured to have a certain shape, which may be used as a block toy that can be arbitrarily manipulated by a user, unlike a commercially available product.

The material of this invention consists largely of microwax, petrolatum, and starch. Hereinafter, each component will be described in detail.

Microwax

Microwax, also called microcrystalline wax, is wax dewaxed and degreased by solvent extraction from high viscosity lubrication distillate, etc., and is composed mainly of branched saturated hydrocarbon and has needle-like and amorphous crystalline forms. It is tough and flexible, has high melting point and high viscosity, and has white or yellow color. Due to its high affinity with oil, it has a feature of higher oil content than paraffin wax. Microwax is used in combination with other waxes to increase melting point and hardness and also as an antiperspirant. Its main uses are various wax compounds, antioxidants for rubber-related products, electrical insulation, waterproof and moisture proof coatings, and the like.

바세린Vaseline

Vaseline is a saturated hydrocarbon having a composition of C n H n + 2 , and microcrystalline solid hydrocarbon is dispersed in liquid hydrocarbon to form a gel. In the present invention, petrolatum is used without particular limitation.

전분Starch

Starch is a natural high molecular material produced by plants photosynthesis using water and carbon dioxide as raw materials, and can be used as a thickener, extender, adhesive, or physical property improving agent for food or industry. In addition, modified starch (physical or chemically modified starch) has been widely used to compensate for the disadvantages of raw starch and to reinforce the advantages.

Particularly preferred for use according to the invention is corn starch. In the present invention, an emulsifier may be optionally added to the starch. Octenyl succinate starch is a kind of modified starch in which octenyl succinate is ester-bonded with -OH group of starch to introduce hydrophobic groups into hydrophilic starch to have emulsifying power and stability. That is, it can be used as an emulsifier and stabilizer by having both a hydrophilic hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group and a hydrophobic hydrocarbon in one molecule.

Manufacturing method

The material of the present invention comprises a solution containing 40 to 60% by weight of microwax and 40 to 60% by weight of petrolatum and starch, preferably modified with octenyl succinic acid, in a ratio of 1: 1 to 4: 9. It can be prepared by mixing and extruding 4: 4 to 4: 8. At this time, the mixing ratio of microwax and petrolatum is most preferably 1: 1.

응용Applications

The material having a specific shape can be obtained by placing the sculpture material prepared by the above method into a mold having a predetermined cavity. For example, the brick-like material obtained by using the brick-shaped mold may be used as a block toy or the like. At this time, since the adhesive force of the material itself is used, no adhesive or mortar is required. And, because of the flexibility of the material can be bent each block (unit), it is possible to use a lot more than the currently available products.
