Description

배기가스 재순환 장치{EXHAUSTED GAS RECIRCULATION APPARATUS}EXHAUSTED GAS RECIRCULATION APPARATUS}

The present invention relates to an Exhausted Gas Recirculation (EGR) device, and more particularly, employs a device capable of capturing harmful substances in the exhaust gas. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus of which the structure is improved to improve the performance by simultaneously reducing the pressure.

The exhaust gas recirculation apparatus sends a portion of the exhaust gas back to the intake system as a means of reducing nitrogen oxides (hereinafter referred to as NOx) in the exhaust gas, lowering the maximum temperature when the mixer burns, and reducing the amount of NOx produced. The exhaust gas returned to the intake pipe is controlled by a control valve (or ERG valve) controlled by the negative pressure near the throttle valve or the exhaust pressure in the exhaust pipe. Usually abbreviated as EGR.

As described above, in the conventional exhaust gas recirculation apparatus, although NOx is reduced by direct intake distribution of exhaust gas, particulate matter is increased. In the case of the EGR cooler installed to overcome this problem, the generation of particulate matter is relatively reduced, but there is a problem in that the NOx reduction efficiency is reduced.

Since the EGR cooler needs to receive coolant from the engine block, additional pipes must be installed and adversely affect the engine design.

And for diesel engines, NOx and particulate matter make up the largest portion of the exhaust. In such a diesel engine, NOx is generally reduced by an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus, but when the EGR gas is sucked into the combustion chamber, the amount of particulate matter is increased.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and provides an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus capable of simultaneously reducing NOx and particulate matter by employing a device capable of collecting harmful substances in the exhaust gas. have.

Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

1 is a schematic view showing an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus according to the present invention. Here, the description of the configuration of the general exhaust gas recirculation apparatus is omitted, and only the configuration according to the features of the present invention will be described.

Referring to the drawings, the exhaust gas recirculation apparatus according to the present invention includes an intake manifold, an exhaust manifold, and exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust manifold, respectively, provided on one side of the engine 10. Before the inlet manifold enters the inlet manifold, the EGR pipe 13 installed between the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold, and the recycled exhaust gas provided on the EGR pipe 13 and discharged from the exhaust manifold, And a diesel particulate filter (DPF) 20 for collecting and burning particulate matter contained in the recycle exhaust gas.

The diesel particulate filter 20 is provided in the housing 21 installed in one side of the EGR pipe 13 so that the recycle exhaust gas passes, and in the housing 21, and has a plurality of first flow paths P1. To form a ceramic partition member 22 having a plurality of pores P, and a particulate layer disposed on sidewalls of the ceramic partition member 22 to form a plurality of second flow paths P2 ( 23) and a plug member 24 provided at either end of the first and second flow paths P1 and P2 to allow the first and second flow paths P1 and P2 to continuously communicate with each other.

The plug member 24 alternately cuts one end of both ends of the first and second flow paths P1 and P2, and the ceramic partition member 22 is a honeycomb cell honey-cell as shown in FIG. A plurality of openings P are formed in the form of a comb cell.

Referring to the operation of the exhaust gas recirculation device according to the present invention having the configuration as described above are as follows. Here, description of the operation of the general exhaust gas recirculation apparatus is omitted, and only the operation according to the features of the present invention will be described.

Referring back to the drawings, the first and second flow paths P1 and P2 are alternately blocked, and the recycle exhaust gas flowing into the flow paths P1 and P2 is one end of the first and second flow paths P1 and P2. Each of them is blocked so as to pass through the ceramic partition member 22 to exit from the first passage (P1) to the second passage (P2), in which particulate matter remains in the flow path (P1, P2) is collected.

As such, while the recycle exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust manifold passes through the diesel particulate filter 20, the recycle exhaust gas is purified through chemical reaction in the recycle exhaust gas, and combustion is promoted.

The purifying action of the recycle exhaust gas removes particulate matter in the recycle exhaust gas, which is a factor of generating particulate matter, and achieves reduction of NOx, while no increase in particulate matter occurs.

When the diesel particulate filter 20 is installed in the exhaust gas recirculation system, its size is small and easy to settle, and when the particulate matter discharged from the diesel engine is collected and burned, harmful substances can be reduced by 80% or more.

As described above, the exhaust gas recirculation apparatus according to the present invention has the following effects.

At low power, exhaust emissions are reduced, without affecting performance, and most of the noxious substances such as NOx and particulate matter in the recycle exhaust gas are removed through the diesel particulate filter.

When replacing the EGR cooler, it is not necessary to install components such as cooling water supply pipe required for mounting the EGR cooler, and there is no need to install a cooling water supply passage and mounting process such as pipes in the process. Accordingly, since the weight is lighter than that of the EGR cooler, the weight can be reduced, and the weight of the cooling water supply pipe required for mounting the EGR cooler is also reduced. If the EGR cooler is replaced as described above, cost reduction can be achieved.

In addition, the use of expensive exhaust gas reducing device separately, and the use of the gas of the exhaust system helps to reduce the cost.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to one embodiment shown in the drawings, this is merely exemplary, and a person skilled in the art may have various modifications and equivalent embodiments therefrom, thereby providing a true scope of protection of the present invention. Should only be determined by the appended claims.
