Abstract

PURPOSE: An independent ignition device is provided to supply electrical power regardless of discharging of main battery and to stop supplying electrical power to a start motor while driving. CONSTITUTION: When a start switch(15) is turned on, a separate battery(11) supplies electrical power to a start motor(1). A rectifier(10) is connected to the separate battery, and a coil(9) is connected to the rectifier. The coil is mounted in a drive shaft(3) interacting with an engine in the vicinity of a magnet(8). When the engine operates, a current induced from the coil is rectified in the rectifier and charges the battery.
