Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for editing an OSD(On Screen Display) screen of a monitor is provided to enable a user to edit the OSD screen of the monitor, thereby displaying desired text or graphics of the user. CONSTITUTION: A controller generates an input table including at least more than one item, and stores the input table as user information(10). The controller decides whether an edit-requesting signal of a user is generated from a key input unit(12). If the signal is inputted, the controller outputs the user information read from a storage to an OSD, and the OSD displays the input table to the user by using the user information(14). The controller generates new OSD information by using items selected by the user from the input table(16).
