Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel tank of an automobile, and more particularly to a strap assembly for fixing the fuel tank to the bottom of the vehicle body.
As is widely known, automobiles gain driving force for driving wheels by combusting a mixture of fuel and air in a cylinder of an engine and converting thermal energy of the combusted combustion gas into mechanical energy.
The fuel tank that stores the fuel necessary to obtain the driving force is mainly located on the bottom of the vehicle body and fixed to the bottom of the vehicle body by a pair of straps.
1 illustrates an example of a fuel tank fixed to a bottom of a vehicle body.
As shown, the strap 3 for fixing the fuel tank 2 is formed with a locking projection (3a) of the 'T' shape on one end and a fastening hole is formed on the other side.
The fuel tank 2 is located on the bottom of the vehicle body 1, and then the fixing hooks 3a of the pair of straps 3 are fixed on the bottom of the vehicle body 1 adjacent to the fuel tank 2. The fuel tank 2 by being fastened to the vehicle body 1 by being fastened to the vehicle body 1 on the side opposite to the fuel tank 2 across the bottom of the fuel tank 2 by the straps ) Is fixed to the vehicle body 1.
On the other hand, in recent years, the fuel tank material has been replaced by synthetic resin in the steel sheet for reasons of weight reduction. However, when the synthetic resin material is used as the material of the fuel tank as described above, the following problems occur.
That is, the synthetic resin fuel tank is caused to expand due to the weight of the fuel and the pressure of the fuel evaporation gas, especially the fuel tank bottom between the straps tend to be greatly sag. Accordingly, when the amount of fuel stored in the fuel tank is small, there is a problem that the fuel is not sucked properly.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and an object thereof is to provide a strap assembly capable of preventing sagging of a fuel tank made of a plastic material.
