Abstract

PURPOSE: Bricks, blocks and plastering mortar using sericite are provided which have deodorization, soundproofing, far infrared emission, and electromagnetic wave prevention. The resultant products are applied to the walls of basement or building in a damp area. CONSTITUTION: The bricks and blocks are produced by mixing porous sericite(1) ground to 2-5mm size with cement(2) in a weight ratio of 8 : 2. The mortar for plastering piled bricks and blocks is produced by mixing sericite ground to 1-2mm size, cement and additives, such as pigment, aggregate, sand and waterproofing agent, in a ratio of 5 : 2 : 3.
