Claims (11)
- 동기식 통신 네트워크에서 원격국의 위치를 결정하는 방법에 있어서,원격국에서, 기준 시간을 설정하기 위하여, 네트워크 시간 신호를 수신하는 단계;원격국에서, 네트워크 시간 신호와 동기되며 위성 위치 확인 네트워크 (GPS) 로부터 전송되는 적어도 하나의 제 1 신호를 포함하는 복수 개의 신호를 수신하는 단계;복수 개의 신호 각각에 대한 도달 시간 차이를 결정하는 단계; 및도달 시간 차이들을 이용하여 원격국에 대한 위치를 결정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 네트워크 시간 신호는 기준 파일럿 신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 기준 파일럿 신호는 통신 네트워크 내에서 기지국으로부터 전송된 0 위상 파일럿 PN 시퀀스를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 원격국은 또한 GPS 네트워크로부터 전송된 다른 신호들 및 다른 파일럿 신호들을 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 도달 시간 차이들을 이용하여 원격국의 위치를 결정하는 단계는, 무선 위치 확인 장치 (WPF) 가 0 위상 파일럿 PN 시퀀스와 GPS 시간 사이의 시간 오프셋을 모니터링하고, 기지국 신호 타이밍을 GPS 시간과 동기시켜 유지하도록 필요하면 조절을 하여 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 위성 위치 확인 네트워크 (GPS) 를 포함하는 동기식 통신 네트워크에서 원격국의 위치를 결정하는 데 이용하는 장치에 있어서,원격국과 통신 가능하게 접속된 GPS 로부터 전송되는 적어도 하나의 제 1 신호를 포함하는 복수 개의 신호들을 수신할 수 있는 원격국 트랜시버를 포함하는 원격국; 및GPS 네트워크로부터 수신되는 신호들과 동기화되는 그것의 수신이 기준 시간을 설정하는 네트워크 타이밍 신호를 원격국으로 전송할 수 있는 기지국 트랜시버를 구비하고, 원격국에 통신 가능하게 접속되는 하나 이상의 기지국을 포함하고,상기 네트워크 타이밍 신호의 수신은 기준 시간을 설정하며,복수 개의 타이밍 신호들에 대한 도달 시간 차이를 결정하고,도달 시간 차이들을 이용하여 원격국에 대한 위치를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 동기식 통신 네트워크에서 무선 트랜시버의 위치를 결정하는 데 이용하는 장치에 있어서,하나 이상의 위성;상기 하나 이상의 위성들 각각에 위치하여 위성 신호들을 전송하기 위한 위성 전송기;디지털 신호 처리 유닛을 구비하고, 기준 파일럿 신호 및 다른 신호들을 전송하는 기지국; 및상기 하나 이상의 위성 및 상기 기지국과 무선 통신하며, 상기 기준 파일럿 신호 및 상기 하나 이상의 위성 신호들을 수신하는 트랜시버를 포함하며,상기 기준 파일럿 신호는 상기 하나 이상의 위성 신호들, 및 만약 있다면 상기 다른 신호들 각각에 대한 도달 시간 차이 (TDOA) 를 측정하는 데 이용되며,상기 디지털 신호 처리 유닛은 상기 트랜시버의 위치를 결정하는 데 상기 TDOA 들을 이용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 하나 이상의 위성은 위성 위치 확인 네트워크 위성인 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 기지국은 코드 분할 다중 접속 기지국인 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 하나 이상의 위성을 사용하는 동기식 통신 네트워크에 이용하는 트랜시버의위치를 결정하는 방법을 수행하는 디지털 신호 처리 장치에 의해, 실행 가능한 기계 판독 가능 명령들의 프로그램을 포함하는 제품으로서, 상기 방법은그것의 수신이 기준 시간을 설정하는 네트워크 시간 신호를 원격국에서 수신하는 단계;위성 위치 확인 네트워크 (GPS) 로부터 전송되는 적어도 하나의 제 1 신호들을 포함하는 다수 개의 타이밍 신호들을 원격국에서 수신하고, 네트워크 시간 신호가 적어도 하나의 제 1 신호와 동기화되는 단계;다수 개의 타이밍 신호들에 대한 도달 시간 차이를 결정하는 단계; 및도달 시간 차이들을 이용하여 원격국에 대한 위치를 결정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제품.
- 동기식 통신 네트워크에서 무선 트랜시버의 위치를 결정하는 데 이용하는 장치에 있어서,하나 이상의 위성;상기 하나 이상의 위성들 각각에 위치하여, 위성 신호들을 전송하는 위성 전송기 수단;디지털 신호들을 처리하기 위한 수단을 구비하고, 기준 파일럿 신호 및 다른 신호들을 전송하는 기지국; 및상기 하나 이상의 위성 및 상기 기지국과 통신하고 상기 기준 파일럿 신호및 상기 하나 이상의 위성 신호들을 수신하는 트랜시버 수단을 포함하며,상기 기준 파일럿 신호는 상기 하나 이상의 위성 신호들, 및 만약 있다면 상기 다른 신호들 각각에 대한 도달 시간 차이 (TDOA) 를 측정하는 데 이용되며,디지털 신호들을 처리하기 위한 상기 수단은 상기 트랜시버의 위치를 결정하는 데 상기 TDOA 들을 이용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
