Description

강재용 전처리 도장제 {Shop Primer for Steel}Pretreatment paint for steel {Shop Primer for Steel}

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to steel pretreatment paints, and more particularly, to steel pretreatment paints that can significantly reduce the occurrence of welding defects, such as pits and blow holes, in welded portions due to high speed welding.

In general, steel (steel plate) used in shipbuilding, etc., is subjected to a pretreatment process after receipt in order to prevent corrosion of the steel surface until the painting work through storage, processing, assembly.

Conventionally, gravity welding or automatic contact welding with a low welding speed is mainly applied to the pretreated steel. Therefore, the solidification rate of the molten metal is relatively low, so that the welding defect does not occur because there is enough time for the gas generated while the pretreatment paint is burned during welding during the welding to be released out of the deposited metal, that is, into the atmosphere.

However, in recent years, in order to reduce the cost of the welding process, there is a tendency to apply a high speed welding method to pretreated steel. However, if the high-speed welding technique is applied to the pretreated steel, there is insufficient time for the gas generated while the pretreatment paint is burned during welding to release to the outside of the weld metal, i.e., to the atmosphere. There arises a problem that defects such as holes are generated, and thus the quality of the welded portion is degraded.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a pretreatment coating material for steel that can reduce the welding defect caused by high-speed welding.

In order to achieve the above object, the pretreatment paint for steel materials of the present invention is a mixture of a main material, a curing agent, and a thinner, and a mixing ratio of the main material and the curing agent is a weight ratio of 7: 3, and a mixing ratio of the mixture and the thinner. Is 6: 4 by volume.

Here, the subject is characterized in that the ethyl silicate (Ethyl Silicate) and zinc powder.

Since the mixing ratio of the thinner of the steel pretreatment coating agent of the present invention is relatively high, it is possible to reduce the amount of gas generated while the pretreatment paint is burned during high speed welding. Therefore, it is possible to significantly reduce the occurrence of welding defects such as pits and brow holes in the welded portion, and as a result, the deterioration of the welded portion can be prevented.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail.

In general, the pretreatment process removes foreign matter such as mill scale, rust or oil from the surface of the steel using shot blast or sand blast, and then applies a pretreatment paint. Drying process.

However, as is known to those skilled in the art, the properties of the pretreatment paint vary according to the mixing ratio of the components constituting the pretreatment paint. For example, when the thinner or hardener is mixed less than the proper mixing ratio to obtain the desired anti-corrosion effect, the mixing ratio of the main material is increased and the thickness of the coating film becomes thick, so that the anti-rust effect is increased but the time of pretreatment coating is hardened. Is longer, and in the opposite case, the hardening time is shorter while the rust prevention effect is lower. Therefore, the main agent, the hardener and the thinner must be mixed in an appropriate ratio to obtain the desired antirust effect.

The pretreatment paint according to the invention consists of a main mixed with a suitable proportion, a hardener and thinner. In the present invention, the thickness of the coating film for obtaining the desired antirust effect is about 15 µm. In consideration of this, it is preferable that the mixing ratio of the mixing agent mixed with the main agent and the curing agent is 7: 3 by weight, and the dilution ratio of the mixing agent and thinner is 6: 4 by volume. Here, the subject is ethyl silicate (C 8 H 20 O 4 Si) solution and zinc powder.

Applicant applied and dried the pretreatment coating agent mixed in the above ratio to the iron plate from which mill scale or other foreign substances were removed through a shot blasting process (using a steel ball having a diameter of 1 mm), and then the pretreatment applied to the iron plate. The coating film thickness of the coating agent was measured. The thickness of the coating film measured over the whole surface of the iron plate was 20-70 micrometers, and it confirmed that all were larger than 15 micrometers which is the thickness of the coating film for obtaining a desired antirust effect. Therefore, it was found that there is no problem in the rust prevention effect in the case of the pretreatment paint mixed according to the mixing ratio of the present invention. On the other hand, the drying time of the pretreatment coating agent according to the present invention took about 10 minutes approximately the same as the drying time of the conventional pretreatment coating agent.

In addition, the present applicant, after performing a high-speed welding on the pre-treated steel sheet according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention as described above, as a result of finding out whether a welding defect such as a pit or a blow hole occurs in the welding site, almost no welding defect occurs in the welding site It was confirmed that not. This is because the pretreatment paint mixed according to the mixing ratio of the preferred embodiment of the present invention contains a relatively large amount of thinner, so that the amount of gas (ie, zinc vapor and hydrogen) generated while the pretreatment paint is burned during high-speed welding is remarkable. It is presumably due to the decrease.

As described above, the pretreatment paint for steel according to the present invention can significantly reduce the occurrence of welding defects such as pits and blow holes in the welded portion by high-speed welding while maintaining the rust preventing effect. The deterioration can be prevented.
